Uh soccer soccer in this country has the pass obviously the passport system applies to UEFA and to w with FIFA or at twelve years of age.
uh you you have a passport and whenever clubs you pass through, if there's a transfer fee once you do if there's a transfer fee, that club, whether it's St Kevin's or Crumlins or Belvedere or whoever it is, will get a cut of the transfer fee.
But that's different
Because obviously
At the very top level.
Soccer's a professional sport.
And it is run it is governed worldwide by FIFA and obvious obviously in Europe by UEFA as well.
So it's easy to govern that unless there's closer alignment between the G and the AFL.
There will be no controls over this.
So the best prospect of bringing some small level of controls is a closer link.
A reestablishment of the link.
I I think that because if you look at soccer, UEFA and
FIFA run this passport system where there is some clawback for those clubs.
Uh but if the GA and AFL are just completely different organisations, different sides of the world's
practice is just gonna continue.
And I think maybe worryingly for the GA is that there's going to be a a nineteenth team Tasmania coming into the uh coming into the AFL in a couple of years.
Stand to be corrected on that whether it's i yeah if if yeah, I think it's a couple of years time.
