Appearances
I would say in Ben O'Connor's case, there were two given against Sean O'Donoghue that I felt in tussles, those tussles that Aaron Galan and himself have been having for years.
One crucial free just before halftime, right in front of him,
where Galan appears to pull Sean O'Donoghue first, and then Hurley is out of Galan's arms, hands, and...
Limerick get a free.
And at that stage, Cork are six up.
So that starts the thread of four points that brings Limerick back to two at halftime.
And that's a very, very crucial spell.
And then early in the second half, O'Donoghue fouls, is blown for a free against Galan, where I felt the two of them, it was equal again.
And that results in O'Donoghue going off, who had a really, really good game.
And as...
Michael referred to afterwards or earlier there, that's Galan scoreless in a game.
Of all the counties that Galan has a record against, it's Cork.
He has some of his best days, the All-Ireland final in 2021, even the league final recently there, Galan has been supreme.
They've had a real difficulty with keeping Aaron Galan quiet in any way.
And yesterday they succeeded.
But I don't know how I had to go off of that.
So there are two frees that I think that Ben O'Connor would have an issue with.
If you go back to his... James Owens refereed the initial game in Parker Cleve.
And for the first 12 minutes, he didn't blow a free.
So his approach was completely different here.
