I'll digress a bit.
I said Kubler-Ross had been the head of my doctoral committee, and while I was doing the dissertation, she made me change one word.
That was from religious to spiritual.
And it made a major difference in the outcome of a thing.
And many of the people said...
I don't like the dogma of the church, but I have a spiritual relationship with the Supreme Being, whatever you want to call that.
There were others who said, I believe it's spiritual, but I like the ritual of the church, having grown up within that.
But it gets terribly, terribly complex stuff.
I haven't talked to her, been in touch with Chris since yesterday.
You know that story, where should I tell that one?
Tell it.
Well, what had happened is that, yeah.
I had met him in Pennsylvania initially and talked and had this long story.
I mean, he told it, but he can do hours, literally.
And so I knew about the initial thing.
Victoria and I went to see him, and we spent a few days, and we went down to the Cape Fear River where that incident, the initial incidents had occurred.
And so what got my attention, well, I already had, was pretty positively disposed because I'd seen enough stuff.
But we went down to the lower thing right next to the river.
walked back up where he says he had seen the going beams and all that.
So we're at the car in Victoria, and his daughter Emily get in the back seat of the car, and Chris and I are leaning against the left front, and it's getting, just starting to get dark, white light going on, and he turned to me and said, oh, I think they're here.
