I don't think there's any doubt that the government came in pretty heavy-handed.

Um...

But what people forget now is the time frame.

I mean, we're talking beginning of the Cold War.

We had just come out of, and I actually remember part of World War II.

I was a participant, but, you know, remember some of the things going on.

So you have to remember the public tenure at the time.

And this one scared the crap out of everybody, you know.

And it also...

Straight story, and with a lot of documentation to it was, remember, what's going on at the time?

At that time, the U.S.

is the only atomic, as opposed to nuclear power in the world.

We knew the Soviets were working on it, so the big question was...

Yeah, if they pop, you know, it changes the dynamics quite a bit.

And so that they had very high altitude sensor systems.

Now, they later went to seismic systems, which were, you know, better.

But, yeah, that they would have had, and it would have been super, super sensitive and very few people.

And I do know,

I think it was Bill Burns, one of the TV programs that they had.
