Alrighty.
I have one thing.
just i was making this point on the the brilliant indo ga podcast today but like talking about castle bar and how it just felt like the center of the universe like nowhere else in that moment last night mattered like that was the place to be and everything that you would have hoped it would be it was and most people there like they spent their whole lives dreaming of winning all and they had they weren't there in 51 and they've just had this dream but it was
always so much more than that it was just this obsession in Mayo and like what I always loved about Mayo was that you get to train down to Westport and you could just people talk about the game you never had to specify what you were talking about everybody knew what Sunday meant if you said Sunday everyone was on board and they were all talking about it and it was
breathing all over the county for for all this time and like that I always thought about that Schopenhauer quote from the 19th century where it's like you have either struggle or boredom and would it be different for Mayo then if the struggle is over they no longer have that struggle but my god it's just taking it into a whole new level of like what it should mean to win all Ireland and I was thinking about it coming in how great I feel like you're talking about the Clare person I feel 10 feet tall
It has nothing to do with me.
I've had no Mayo connections at all, but I feel better for it.
I feel happier for it.
I was thinking about people who have no engagement in the story or care for GAA, and it's like they're not getting any of this collateral happiness in their life that they should be getting.
It's just amazing, and it has touched people.
Actually, that's one thing I would say about how it's everything I thought it would be, but...
How it's affected the whole country and probably beyond is even more than I thought.
I thought there'd be more begrudgers, but there's not.
I think everybody's just like, wow, fair play to them.
He was just talking to you about coaching the Gares team and Ballot Hadrian as well.
He said something to you yesterday, which was so beautiful and so GA, where he's talking about McBride and he's like, we're so proud of him in the club.
As if he's not the All-Ireland winning manager, as if he's not the servant for me over the last 20 years.
It's like he's talking about him like a club man, watching him play number six in an All-Ireland final and winning the All-Ireland.
We're just so proud of him.
It was like, that's a club man there.
