We'll lose the narrative.
I like it better than the current status quo.
But what I would like better is if you created a real personalized health account that allowed you, for instance, if you're a single guy, you get $20,000 tax deductible.
If you're a married couple, you get $50,000 tax deductible plus $20,000 for every kid.
And you go right into that savings account.
You and I could donate.
If we saw somebody that needed some help, we could donate money tax deductible in that account.
And that way the government would save the money that they're paying to the insurance company and people would be able to get the same benefit that employers get.
So an employer gets to write off that tax for the health care premium.
Why not let the individual do the same?
And that would actually lower premiums and help create the market because you have to have some additional insurance products out there as well.
