She couldn't even articulate it.
But what she was saying was, this fake, weird persona you're wearing.
She was probably trying to say, can you just be normal?
Can you just be yourself and see if we like each other?
I'm on a date with you.
I matched with you.
And...
She called it out.
And it was a real killer moment.
And the lesson here is don't perform.
Just express yourself.
Think, expression, genuineness.
One of my catchphrases, philosophies I teach my clients is what I'm thinking and feeling, genuinely thinking and feeling is what I'm saying and doing.
And I wasn't doing that.
Quite the opposite.
I was thinking,
What do I have to say and do to get her to like me?
And up to that point, being cocky and funny seemed to be the answer.
And she basically said, dude, stop performing.
