And I know that a lot of people would say, well, that should be Offaly's level.
But just because they won All-Ireland in the 90s and the 80s, it doesn't mean that that's automatically going to happen again.
They were in the Christie Ring Cup.
Yeah, like the difference between the levels in Hurling is monumental.
And for Offaly to have been there... Five years ago.
Five years ago and to get where they were back.
I know Michael Deignan was on talking to Joe last week and he asked him because obviously he was involved, very closely involved in getting things going again.
An awful lot of good decisions have to be made and an awful lot of smart appointments and an awful lot of energy from a small number of people have to go into that to get a county like Offaly back to where they were.
And I just think we shouldn't take it for granted that Offaly will always produce...
teams that can compete at this level because it's not easy and the old ways of producing hurlers like you know having a club like borough who would naturally organically you know create loads of players who could hurl at the top level sometimes that doesn't happen sometimes that way of drying up so it has to be a more centralized structured method and not every county board was necessarily kind of set up to do that when the top counties were and i think awfully by their own admission were kind of left in the dark a small bit for a long time and things got pretty bleak
for a county whose success for a lot of us is still very vivid and memorable.
So to get back to this stage, I think is a huge, huge thing.
And, you know, I think it's one of the bigger stories from the weekend.
Well, he didn't handle it well.
That's very clear.
I mean, it's some going that we're not talking about the match first up, right?
I know.
They won by 10 points.
Donegal beating Kerry by 10 points.
Their third win in a row over Kerry since the All-Ireland final is a monumental result.
