You built your brand, your cost of acquisition now has been taken over by the marketplace.
So like, I won't name them by name, but there's a pretty big marketplace now based out of the UK.
They're taking 30% of the overall first time booking, right?
Wow.
Imagine this, right?
And this was kind of like one of the penny drop moments with me and Glenn on like, we have to stop this.
Like we have to put up a fight against this.
So Glenn's website, Glenn is the number one barber in the country at the time.
He's naturally booked up quite a lot, but because he was using this system and he was booked up, I'm going to make an appointment with Glenn.
they're not recommending me somebody else that's free within glenn's business they're recommending me to go to the next available business that's open and has a free spot because that's how they eat they're taking 30 of my 50 euro as opposed to no percent so they're incentivized it's the same for them they don't care if it's 30 30 50 quid to glenn or 30 quid to gary they're quite happy so
So cross-pollination, you're pushing them from one to the other.
The whole idea is to keep them moving through different vendors on your platform.
You go and say, hey, listen, we're leaving.
They're like, great, great.
Push notification, all your customers, discounts and 5K of your competitors.
It's just the most corrosive business that...
you can imagine for food and beverage.
Nothing better.
And they wanted to grow.
But the systems that were out there were digitized.
