Ireland is comparable in terms of price to the UK, comparable in terms of price to many parts of France.
Spain is a good bit cheaper.
Portugal is a good bit cheaper.
Italy is a good bit cheaper.
So it really does depend on where you go.
And
what your appetite for spending is.
You can spend many thousands of euro on holidays in Ireland or you can go on holidays for half nothing.
But you will be a little bit like Father Ted and Dougal in the caravan in the Stune of Ireland staring out at the lashing rain going, aren't we having fun as Father Ted, not Father Ted, what's his name?
