there's kids out there with dreams you know we've all had dreams before and we just want to kind of be use this as like an inspiration and you know we just want to use this platform and podcast just to show that you can do great things wherever you kind of grew up you know whether you're from lester alabama or audible however you say it
$69,000.
All right. I'm going to go Culver's.
Whataburger. In-N-Out. I'll say Wendy's.
It's okay.
All right, brother.
Yeah, go birds.
Appreciate that. To an extent. If they ask you to play, would you, would you play?
I think it just shows how much we love watching each other do our thing on the field. That's success.
Like.
I know. I don't even think I've understood, like, the magnitude of that moment. And I don't know if I'll, like, be able to understand it until, like, my career is over someday. That's a great story. And my home is in the Hall of Fame, and you look back on that moment.
What was your reaction to the news yesterday?
Represent the United States of America.
In L.A., yeah. Remember, Hertz did a commercial.
When you're playing in a new defense, too, it takes you a few games to get used to playing in that scheme.
Yeah, that's sick. Something else that's exciting? Yeah. Everybody seems to be enjoying the podcast, first episode.
It was the same way for me my freshman year of college, coming in and trying to learn a whole new defense. And I come from, like, a small school, so we play cover three. You didn't even know what cover two was. Whatever it is. And then you come into college, you're playing all these different coverages and You've got to match things a certain way.
But I think once you get that down and you're able to play free, that's the best part about it. And then coming here, it's a little easier coming to the NFL because obviously you understand how to learn the defense now and the different coverages. But I mean, I struggled a little bit early last year just trying to figure out the position. But once you get it, though, you get it. Yeah.
When did you struggle? I mean, the first four games I didn't play. So all I was doing was practicing.
And that's all it is, man. I think – That's all it is. The thing about our team last year, like we had so many veteran guys in our locker room, like – I leaned on Vontae, you know, because we played the same position. And he taught me just about everything I needed to know about playing the nickel position. And that's when he was starting. Like, he was starting.
I didn't really know how it would be taken in. No.
And I'm trying to get on the field and play the same position. And he's still teaching me all these things about how to play the position, which was really cool. And that's a testament to our team, you know, and how close we were last year. Who you are.

I don't think I even heard anything from him.
our backgrounds and like i don't know if people understood that where we came from you know like obviously you were from a small town i'm from a small town you were drafted and like i was undrafted so it's it's cool to see good for people to get to know us a little bit yeah on the first episode and then we'll we'll bring on bring on some guests yeah and then we got the the schedule release the full schedule came out yeah no back-to-back home games
I mean, I don't think they have a problem with it.
What do you know about – Our draft picks that we got. What do you think about them?
No back-to-back home games. That's kind of weird. That's the first time a Super Bowl champion hasn't had back-to-back home games in their following season.
No, we got you on that for sure. Let's talk a little bit about you and your career and how you got started in music. What made you want to get started in that, and how'd that come about?
Yeah. I mean, we start off hot with the Cowboys. The Cowboys. The Chiefs. Super Bowl rematch, second week. Then the Rams. Then the Rams. So, we're –
Starting off hot, but we're excited for it. Our boy, Mr. Blankenship, got his high school jersey retired, which was pretty cool.

Dude.
He's a freak. What's your top three moments all time as an Eagles fan?
When I was – we were playing Carolina, and I was getting my ass ratted up by Adam Thielen. Hey, that was like a 12-year vet. Just wrapping my ass up.
Yeah, no, seriously. Out on wild card weekend, yeah.
That's going to wrap it up for our second ever guest on the Exciting Mics, Gilly Da King. Man, I appreciate you guys.
Make sure you go check out Million Dollars Worth a Game, Gilly and Wallo's podcast too. Appreciate you coming on again.
We are back with another segment of Exciting Eats, but we've decided to change the name of the segment.
When it comes from the heart. It's home, man. How'd it go, though? Did you go without tears? Did you have to take a couple pauses?
So we switched it to Exciting Bites. So welcome. To the segment. To the segment. Exciting Bites. Exciting Bites. Today we have Primo Hoagies. Primo Hoagies. We're going to try them out, rate them, and let you guys know.
My brother.
Here we go with Primo Hoagies.
It is very well put together.
That makes no sense. How is eight perfect? Ten is perfect.
I'm going to give it a 7.9. So what's the difference between my score and your score? Mine's better than yours. I got a better scale than yours. We're back with the fan rapid fire Q&A. Our first guest today, we have Victoria Del Elmo. Are you from Philly? You're from Philly?
Oh, you're from Philly?
Let it rip. Let's hear it.
I like that. That's a good one to start with. I love that. My why... is really my family and where I come from. I grew up in a small town in Iowa, and not a lot of kids from my area had the opportunity to play college football or play at this level.
You know, so being an inspiration to the kids back home and, you know, being able to show them that, you know, if you have goals and dreams and you go and chase them, that anything's possible no matter where you're from. So that's one reason that my parents, you know, they've sacrificed for me, you know, growing up.
They took me to all my AAU basketball, baseball, traveled to all my games for football. I think they only missed two or three games last year of our season. So they're a huge part of my why as well.
Appreciate you. Thanks for joining us. All right, our next guest for the fan rapid-fire question is Miss Kayla. She's here right now. Thank you for joining us. Let's hear your hard-hitting question that you have for us.
Any other job other than football? You go first.
Real exciting. Let's just hear yours. I mean, I'd probably play basketball. Play basketball.
Try to play basketball.
Yeah, I mean. He's not that good. That's really all I've done my whole life is play sports, so I'd probably try and play basketball. If it wasn't. Yeah, no, don't do sports. No sports. Because if I was going to say it's off. No sports, then, I mean, I'd probably be selling insurance with my parents back in Odie Bold, Iowa. What do you do right now? What's your job?
Oh, wow. That's kind of fun, actually. Respect to you for that. It's more exciting than our jobs that we pick. I don't know what I'm doing.
Well, yeah, I'm talking about like if we weren't playing football, like our jobs outside of that.
I think when I first got here, I was pretty quiet, and Reed was kind of the guy who helped me open up a little bit. He was always – I mean, he was always talking crap to me in the locker room and trying to get me to lighten up and talk more. You know, so I think really that's when our friendship started, to be honest. I think – It kind of went together, being friends and teammates.
Now we're best buds and we've got a podcast together. Look at that. It's awesome. Appreciate you.
Thank you for tuning in to another episode of Exciting Mics. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts. Let's get into the quick hitters today. Let's talk about Coach Sirianni getting his contract extension and what that means for our team and for the city, really.
Welcome back to Exciting Mics presented by Vanda Pharmaceuticals. I'm Cooper DeJean.
Yeah. I think it's cool how you can just go up to his office and talk to him whenever you want and him inviting us into his office and having conversations.
about what you know what we could do better like what he can do better and what we can do better as a as a football team to bring everybody closer together and that's a that's the biggest thing about you know why our team is so special I think it's just our ability to connect and that that starts with him as a leader so I think it's a I think it's huge for for our team you know to have him you know for another how many how many years
All right, Mr. Blankenship. Today we are joined by one of the most influential Philly natives across music. I like that. Sports and entertainment. I like that. Your Philadelphia Eagles unofficial hype man, Gilly Da King.
Gilly DeKing will be joining us to talk all things Philly, his music career, his million-dollar-worth-a-game podcast, and media empire, and of course, Eagles football.
Not even on TV and at other parades.
Where's that at? It's on the other side of the state, but I know where Dubuque is.
I think just the amount of people that are out here and the traffic. Like in my town, I got 980 people in my town. That's crazy. You want to go somewhere that's 20 miles away, it's going to take you 20 minutes. Here it's not like that. Growing up, I played AAU basketball. I've been to a lot of the big cities, been around there. So it was a little bit of an adjustment.
Because I never lived outside of Iowa. I've only been to other big cities. But it was a little bit of an adjustment.
Hell yeah, brother. We're going to start off the podcast with how we do every week. Let's talk about what's exciting this week.
No, I saw it. I mean, I think people started doing it after I got drafted. Yeah, I think so. And then you started saying it, and then it kind of took off a little bit.
Yeah, no, I had an idea. We were talking about our favorite Philly slang last time.
Is it a word in the dictionary, you think?
So where in Philly did you grow up?
We were talking to Saquon. Where do you think this team ranks all time? This team was definitely the greatest Eagle team. Not just the Eagles. We're talking, like, any team.
This is the first year the Olympics are going to have flag football, correct? Yeah. Who would be like the top priority? I mean, Saquon Barkley, I think, right? It's got to be one of the top priorities. I don't know if, I wonder if there'll be like a, if teams will allow their players to play in it.
You think it's top five?
I think it, like my mindset, like it only makes you want it even more. Like want another one even more. Like to get back to that moment. Like especially this city. Like you don't want to let this city down. And just... I think winning it my first year, that's all I know now. And it makes me want it that much more, I think, coming into it.
I know the NFL is allowing them, but you think like teams, like you think they'll start putting it in contracts where like they can't play in the Olympics.
You figure it out. You figure it out. I think it makes you hungrier to try and do it again. Absolutely. For me, being a rookie. You don't know anything. That's all I know.
You got to bring the young guys in, rely on some of those young guys, and get them to buy in, too.
You think, you think the super bowl was, was your, your best birthday moment of all time? Uh, where would you compare it on amongst other birthdays? Yeah, it's probably the best one. You never played another game.
Speaking of new existence. And then you go from the Super Bowl. Then we got the parade six days later on Valentine's Day.
I think it was too.
This is for everybody. Everybody gets rings, you know, type thing. So did you get out and walk the parade at all?
feels awful for him yeah like achilles anytime you see anybody go down but a guy that's terrible yeah how good of a player he is like it's just i know it's such a freak thing too like it wasn't gonna happen he was just going for the ball and then it happens but it's crazy who do you think's gonna win the playoffs though I like the Thunder. I think they got Shea. Have you been watching the NBA?
That's probably got to be one of the best days of my life.
I think, I think us walking. Hennessy was spit out. I could have walked the whole parade, I think. Walked, walked along the railings. Yeah. The railings almost collapsed. I told you they collapsed twice on me. It was a great day. Great day in Philadelphia.

Even if they did eliminate it, though. There's still other ways you can probably do it. I don't know why you would.
Not really, man. I'm not a big NBA guy.
How are you going to ban pushing the pile? How are you going to throw a flag? Same way you can't pull. If you pull somebody.
He can push me right now. Yeah, if you come and push him, they're just going to blow it dead. Throw a flag right there. Right now? No. Okay, I got you.
How are you going to ban it, though? How are they going to ref that? You could just say you're coming to block one of the players that's holding them up, trying to tackle them.
Really? Yeah. How come it's like, I feel like it's just now becoming a big thing like the past couple years. We got a little scenario for you here. You're on an elevator with Roger Goodell. You got 30 seconds to pitch him why the tush push shouldn't be banned. I mean, it's going to be less than 30. All right. Well, it's going to be less than 30.
Yeah. He's going crazy, especially once that fourth quarter comes around. It seems like he's built for those moments when the clutch moments come around. So it's fun to watch. He's on one. Yeah. I said, I'm on.
on a line our minds our brains on a line like it should be fully guaranteed in my opinion yeah i mean i agree i mean you can't play especially if you want to go 18 games how many games is like the baseball they're trying to add more games too dude i just yeah baseball is playing 100 and some games yeah i just don't understand but they're not like they're not putting their body and especially you got like thursday night games and then we don't we play thursday we play monday we play friday the mac you know
uh we had some good conversations in the training room this morning about some conspiracies what's one of the wildest things that you you said yeah but you've seen like around globe but you've also seen like a like a map yeah like like laid out yeah yeah because i mean why would you draw a circle yeah but like you can't put everything on
schedule release day was or is today today filming today we got the cowboys cowboys opening night came out a little early got any early thoughts on that one oh no thoughts i'm not a guy looking in the future like that but i mean it's going to be slam packed i mean have you ever been to the link on opening oh it was in brazil so you haven't either no are we doing the banner yeah that's what a banner banner banner falls week one
welcome back to the exciting mics presented by vanda pharmaceuticals today we are joined by mr saquon barkley saquon barkley 2k say the only other player in the nfl to win a super bowl on his birthday saquon thanks for joining us it was a great birthday for us it was how does it feel to be the first guest on the pod i'm excited yes i'm super excited one i think is
And now it is again. I thought it was just like a star. I thought they were saying it was like just a star. Then it was. But now it's a planet. It's considered a planet now.
We look like dumb football players right now.
Why did you laugh?
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus. That's seven. You got to grow up, bro. You got to grow up. You got to grow up. All right, this off season, we had some big news. Mr. Barkley here became the highest paid running back in the National Football League. A position that was kind of, didn't have a whole lot of respect contractually. Good word. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Put some respect on the running back room. All right. You know, so. How does that feel just to have that title, I guess, be the highest paid? And have you spent anything?
They got a new receiver, George Pickens. Picked him up from the Steelers. That'll be a good challenge for us. Him and C.D. Lamb. Healthy Dak. Healthy Dak. Yeah, we didn't really play Dak last year. We didn't. He was hurt both times. It'll be a good game, bro. It'll be a good matchup. They'll be a lot better than they were last year. Yeah. I know that for a fact. OTAs are back.
We got a whole line like ours too. It makes it.
Yeah.
My like chipping is pretty solid, but I can't putt. My putting's gotten better, but that's where I lose so many. It's probably my best club. What?
The boys are back in town, back in Philly. Do you think when OTAs comes around, does it feel like football's back? Like the season's coming? I don't know.
Make this your best season yet with nutritious two-minute meals from Factor. Eating well has never been this easy. Just heat up and enjoy, giving you more time to do what you want.

What's the favorite thing that you've done this off season so far out of all the events you've attended and everything you've done?
What is that though? Like what goes on?
Since Saquon went to the Met Gala, we're going to rank some of the exciting fits from the Met Gala. So, You can start us off. You want me to start us off? Yeah, you start us off. All right. Mr. Hertz here. Mr. Hertz. And his wife, I believe.
He's always wearing the hat. I've seen him wear it multiple times. Didn't he pull a cigar out? Yeah, I did see that. He did?
I like the little... texture or whatever on the suit. Yeah.
That is kind of.
Yeah. I mean, 10.
It's totally different. So many more people, a lot of traffic. So much traffic. Like, in my hometown, or, like, anywhere around my area, like, you drive, something's 20 miles away, it takes you 20 minutes to get there. It's a mile a minute.
We're in South.
I mean, Florida is South. Florida is the South. I mean, Florida geographically, yes. Yeah.
might just be small towns this might be small towns but from a small town we didn't do that yeah yeah well i'm in copley pennsylvania like probably not big at all how many people what do you think yeah i don't know like i don't know the exact number do you know how many people were in here like i had 980. wow mine was about 100 something 200. Wow. Did you have stoplights in your town?
Yeah, of course. We didn't have stoplights in my town. We had stop signs, stop signs, rolling signs, rolling stops, one gas station, a couple of bars. Yeah. So it was a, it was a pretty, pretty small, but coming out of like, has anybody else came out of white hall? That's yeah. So we have, um,
NFL players?
I think I was the first one from my town, from my town, from my school. There was one other guy who played in the NFL for, I'm not sure how long, seven or eight years. So.
Not very recent. Yeah. It's been a while.
2018. 2018.
So.
In the same room. A.J.
With our first ever guest on the Exciting Mics podcast, Saquon Barkley. Thank you for being here. Thank you for joining us. It means a lot, dude. I appreciate you. You're cool, man.
Yeah, see you in the locker room. See you tomorrow.
And we are back with another segment of Exciting Eats. Today, we are going to be trying Angelo's. Everybody knows them for their cheesesteaks. But today, we're going to try some pizza.
With the basil, too. Basil. Look at the basil. Let's try it out. I don't know what I want. Let's try it out. Corner.
you gotta let your body recover and also build, build back into it.
This is the cheese with the basil.
You see that grease on his face right there?
Slept on? um it holds it so i tried the i tried just the regular cheese with the basil i like it i like i like the crunch of the pizza for sure i like it my rating on the cheese is probably um 7.9 on the cheese pizza
On pepperoni. I'd probably go there for the pepperoni as well. For a place that's not known for their pizza, I thought it was a really good pizza.
Yeah.
We've got some cheesesteaks waiting for us though. Yeah. All right. Live on the show is our first ever fan Q&A. We've got our boy Rory here. Rory. Just turned 14 yesterday. Welcome to the show. Welcome to the show. Happy to light it. We're excited to answer your questions. Let's give it up for Rory.
You got some hard-hitting questions for us?
All right. Let's get into it. Let's do it.
If I could play another sport, it'd probably be basketball. And be good at it? And be, like, really good at it?
Really? They're not that impressive. You don't got to watch them.
But basketball would be my choice of another sport.
Ever? Outside of our home stadiums?
Favorite stadium outside of our home stadiums. I got to play in the Penn State wideout game. That was pretty cool. We put in SoFi Stadium out in L.A. last year. That's pretty nice. That's probably the coolest stadium I've played in.
Yeah, I think mine's kind of similar. I had an injury the end of my junior season right before It was like three games left in the season, and it was right before I was going to decide whether or not to go to the NFL draft or go back to college. So it was a big time in my life, and I had the injury, and it just took a toll on me.
I'll tell you that.
But like Ree said, it's about the people that are around you and just being with them and being with the people you're most comfortable with and talking –
talking through whatever you need to talk talk through with them um the people you trust the most and you know most most importantly as you're going through that rehab process or um it's about believing in yourself too believing that you know you're gonna be all right and you're gonna you're gonna make it through that's for that for anything in life just believing in yourself um
It's also because, you know, we got a lot of older guys around us too. Yeah. Like in our, in our, in our locker room. So getting to learn from them.
No matter what you're going through, I think that's the key. I'm sure the people around you believe in you as well, and that's the best part about it. Just lean on them. They believe in you, you believe in yourself, and nothing's going to hold you back. Appreciate you joining us, man. That was awesome. Happy belated birthday. Thank you. Good luck, man.
Hopefully we can meet up with you sometime or we'll send you something in the mail. Yeah, for sure.
Absolutely. Thank you, man. We're glad you got to join us today.
First one. First one too. Yeah.
Remember to like comment and subscribe on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts, drop your questions in the comment section below. And you could be joining us on the show next week to ask us live in the episode. We appreciate your love and support and we will see you next week.
all right hamstring strength test on instagram i guess it went viral the ain't me the north what is it called is the nordic curls the camera just finds you bro you know everybody i don't know i think it was like uh 600 something just got to make sure that the hamstrings are are prepped and and ready to go a lot of stuff that goes into it scientifically yeah love my pay grade
700?
Wow. What do you do? Wait, just train. No, there you go.
Y'all not have it at Iowa?
You talking about like just at school, at the school or like the state? What is there to do? I mean, where I grew up, there's not a whole lot. Well, we're not talking about where we grew up. In Iowa City, there's a lot to do in Iowa City. They got some good food. It's like a college town, a good college town. Good college town.
We can have fun.
No, there's no shot. There's a few probably. I mean, it's a, it's a good call. College town though. I think you go there, you can have a lot of fun. I think it's also the, like the staff we have, like the stability. They've been there for a while. Same thing with Penn State. Our head coach has been there for 20, this will be his 26th season. Man, we played y'all, what was it, 2019? Yeah.
I was watching Penn State play Iowa at Iowa's night game. My last year, my junior year.
17.
585.
585? 6.8.
Talking ball. Talking everything. Talking everything. Everyone will talk about it. First guest. We're still kind of working through the kinks. I'm excited, too.
Let's talk about last season playing 20-21 games. Yeah, okay. 2K say. 2K say.
What were your expectations coming into last season? Obviously, you knew the O-line that we had, all the talent around you, but what were your expectations coming in?
Yeah.
And it's crazy to see the turnaround, like after, you know, those first four weeks. Cause I don't think like a lot of us didn't even play in the preseason. So I think you guys got like one drive.
So those first four games were kind of, you know, everybody just, we're getting used to everything.
Yeah. Top five team of all time. That's that's big.
you know hopefully next year the year we're in right now but the the year that we had last year people don't give us enough credit i'd probably have to agree on that do you have do you know who else would be in that conversation i mean you got the ravens 2000 ravens you got the dolphins when they went undefeated um would you put the the chiefs teams that went back to back in there or no
All right. What is exciting you this week?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Got to know the game. Got to know the game for all those teams, to be honest. Let's talk about the Super Bowl and us playing on our birthday. It was a pretty cool, pretty cool moment.
You got a team.
Watch, like, comment, share and subscribe on YouTube and whatever you listen to on your podcast. At Exciting Mics.
You just got to think about it a little bit, you know? All right. Shout out Skinny Joey's, though. Shout out Skinny Joey's.
The whole run?
I'd say this, people obviously see from the outside how well we were on the field and stuff, but man, the climb, the challenges to get to that point, the OTA, people don't realize you start so far ahead to building what you want at the end of the year.
starting OTAs and that is when Vic Fangio came in and introduced us the defense to a thing called box drill so box box drill just started box drill set that mentality on the defensive side well I think some of the best moments were just seeing everybody I'm being so cliche but like seeing everybody like get together like being cool with each other yeah you know like it's it's tough to
don't know you always tell everybody that you want to to go into your workplace and be be able to laugh and have fun with whoever and be able to enjoy being around the person you see every day yeah that's what we had yeah because there's there's a lot of guys from from a lot of different places everywhere but but like speaking you all got one goal in mind you all are able to connect over that yeah
But, like, speaking of, like, the plays, like, you had the big 2-6. You know, Saquon come in and... Seishon Barkley. Seishon Barkley. You know, shout out. Shout out Saquon. But, like, I played against him for, what, two years? Three years? And, like, dude's a freaking... He's a, like... Monster. He's a monster. And, like, he's...
Proved this year that he's one of the best running backs to play in this league.
Dude. That's probably one of the best plays I've ever seen in my life. When you – hold on. You do something on the field, and then the next, what, week, they put it into a game because they – you can do some crazy stuff in games, obviously, but, like, they do the most real moves. Yeah. They put – you can jump over backwards. Yeah. Yeah.
It's gotta be, that's gotta be like signature. But like, like seeing that. Yeah. And obviously like the, the whole circulation of the sideline went, you know, viral, but like that was, so I'm, I'm watching the, uh, the, uh, what do you call it? Big screen. The big screen. Yeah. I didn't know if there was another word for it.
during the past week or weekends i'm a big country music guy and um there's this new up-and-coming artist and his name is zach top shout out zach top shout out zach top and he sounds a little like alan jackson that was pretty exciting for me me and my fiance and one of my teammates in philly in philly at the film war nice
Anyways, I was sitting there watching it and obviously I think it might've had a little delay, uh, You know, like, you know how some stadiums have a little delay and like everybody goes wild, whatever. So that happened. I'm sitting there watching it and I'm like, I hit CP, our DB coach. I'm like, you know, like.
Crazy.
Because you got a bunch of grown men that's been playing the sport forever. And have never seen anything like that. Have you ever seen anything like that? I've never seen anything like that. Dude's a freak. But he didn't go down after. I mean, it took him a little bit.
And Jahan. Was it Jahan? Jahan's catch on the sideline.
A lot of stuff that gets overshadowed. And it was a weird game, too.
And when he was talking to Casper about that, he called it. Like, dude's smart, obviously. That was crazy, actually. That was just one game. One game.
But we responded really well. Like, it wasn't one of those, like, oh, man, we, like, no, like, suck it up. There's still a lot left.
Yeah, true. I think a little bit.
Green Bay. Rematch. Game one.
That was another snow game for a little bit.
Most fun I've ever had. Like, it looked, I don't know, the TV copy, I guess, made it look a little bit more clear. Yeah. But you really couldn't, when it was snowing heavy. No. You couldn't really tell. Guys had to change their cleats.
Like, 2013? But I think it's snow. Was that when Sean McCoy went crazy in the snow?
He crashed out.
Washington for the third time. Washington for the third time. Yeah, I don't know why I don't remember. No. They get mixed up in my head, too. But, like. And then going to the Super Bowl, New Orleans, you, the most dramatic player I've ever been around, waited until the Super Bowl. What? Dude, wait until the Super Bowl on your birthday. On your birthday and get a pick six against Pat Mahomes.
I mean, I don't want to take away from your thing. No, go ahead. But Zach, bro. Zach Vaughn's diving. Zach Vaughn. He's a dog. That was back-to-back, right?
Yeah.
That's some exciting events, you know?
So, like, obviously you're a rookie, and you haven't experienced not getting to the top. Yeah. So, like... How did you feel after? Was it like a really big bucket list thing? Because that's how it was for me. Yeah, I mean... Shoot, I was crying when... We went to the Super Bowl, yeah.
You played in the Super Bowl. I don't know. It was a great experience. Cause like, I don't know if it's still, I don't think it's still hit me, which is probably, it's definitely a good thing because it's like, okay, what's next? Yeah. I'm not taking away from the moment, but like just seeing everybody yet, like my family, my, my fiance and like, just, just so like,
tears of joy and i'm like oh i'm so happy too but like when is this going to hit me yeah i think i think it almost makes you even hungrier to to get back to that point and that's good what i said go chase it again and we've already started we get a two-month break and then we're back we're back but like i don't want to skip for the celebration but like in that two-month time period after the parade we'll talk about parade later but like
I don't know when you started, but I felt like I needed to start working out a week after I got home from the parade. A week? Either a week or a week and a half. No, I wasn't going all for it. You had to get a little workout in. You had to get a little workout in. There was a lot of celebrating that was had. There was a lot of celebrating that was had. Especially, let's talk about...
You know, going to the locker room after. Oh, my gosh. Had no idea. So, boom, we go in. And you can tell your side of the story. I don't want to take it. I got in there a little late. You didn't because you was what? The slime cam, whatever? Nickelodeon thing?
Dude, what about that? What about that?
Is it?
I thought I got in late because I walked in and everybody had their goggles on. I'm like, where did you get the goggles? I'm more worried about these sick Oakley because you see them in all the NBA finals, the championships, everything. You see everybody gets these snowboard cool Oakley goggles. Yeah. And I'm like, I want a pair of those. I'm asking everyone, like, where did you get them?
Where did you get them? Say, oh, they're at your locker. I haven't been back to my locker yet. And boom, there was the goggles and there was a cigar. A cigar. A cigar right there. And then I ended up popping champagne spray all over the place. You did? Yeah. Well, there was bottles and bottles, like, smokes in the air, like,
That's the first, like, I didn't even, like, replenish anything. You know what I'm saying? But, dude, that was, oh, my gosh.
Some beverages. Shout out Greg. Shout out Greg, Craig, Pete, Nick.
Cigar.
jersey the the jersey smell just reeks oh yeah cigars still but that's it's part of it part of it man you watch every every championship team celebrate did you with the cigar yeah so you know fast forward whenever we had the parade whatever
what were you expecting like would you would as in like at the parade i'd say this were you expecting like to hit like the super bowl like you won the super bowl what did you expect it to hit you then at the parade yeah
That just goes to show how much they care. They're so passionate.
i was like no oh yeah i'm ringing you got caught i forgot about that i forgot about that and there's no way we don't we don't look like q and nolan smith oh during the break bro like now okay we can talk about that a little bit what about just like the cans just flying flying
Would you go every year?
flying hit howie in the face hit howie in the right i know a lot of people got hit in the face with cans yeah i was trying to snag them and dude these are hurting so bad from that freezing also freezing out freezing cold but yeah let's talk like because we got to get off the bus oh my gosh that was the best part i could have walked the whole parade i could walk the whole parade but like
Really?
I don't know. maybe a little battle scars and then you with me forever that's good it's a good uh scar to remember and then you come over here and just pour beer on me yeah holding the trophy i just dumped it on just dumped a full beer can we have any like we were like close we were we just started and grant like anybody i'm sure there's a lot of people that are there
We're going to say it was freezing cold and you pour a cold beer on my head.
Yeah. You were holding the trophy. I was holding the trophy. It was fine. It was iconic.
Never mind. What was your wrestler? My favorite wrestler? Yeah. Rey Mysterio.
Dude, I always got. Dude, I always.
I was. Shout out. I always try to face like Edge. I always thought they were so bad. Like the villains. You like the villains? Because I had like. Well, now I do. Okay.
You could have went for free.
Yeah.
um and we get introduced as the exciting whites and we were trying to plan it out where we had dreams and nightmares would start playing so so cool like moment in our head yes because like we weren't gonna do it i wasn't gonna do it saquon came up to me yeah saquon wanted us to do it like dude you gotta go up there you gotta speak you gotta start singing dreams and nightmares i'm like
Now I had a conversation about this the other day. This is a big topic right now. I know, it's a big topic right now.
Through the song.
We did. We started singing it by ourselves.
Did we? You probably don't remember. No, I do. It's just like so much happening around that time. Yeah. But we gave a little speech.
dude i'm an idiot i'm an idiot i don't know i don't know why that's the first thing that pops in my head from the real a from the real a you know I don't know why it was the first name that popped in my head. I'm an idiot. Sorry. Just a kid from Bama. It happens, man.
i feel like you take the average human being i think we're not talking to average i know but i'm putting this in perspective i feel like you don't have the jordan mulattas the the lane johnsons the saquon barkley of the you know like average human beings i don't know i mean i've seen king kong i know king kong is totally different but he beat up godzilla okay but i know that's a totally different thing that big like i mean i mean obviously it's bigger than a human
I did not say that. I did not say that. I did not say that. I just left it at Bama. Dog. I'm a dog. That's what you should have said. No, you're funny, man. You're funny. So, like...
It's like 8.30.
they said they kind of know what it looks like but he said don't even don't even bother don't even bother it's gonna be open up the the chest and it'd be a glowing light full of diamonds the episode after we get our rings we got to wear them on oh yeah wear them to my wedding
Glad to see it. I've never had a ring ceremony before. Me either. Wait, you're not winning? No, you haven't. Not anything like two and a half.
I only got a couple of bowl rings, like. Bahamas Bowl, Camellia Bowl. Oh, okay. Okay.
That was tough. That was a tough year for the Oakland Raiders. Vanda Pharmaceuticals is a global biopharmaceutical company with headquarters in Washington, D.C.

I mean, honestly, I think that... I think, though, that... Yeah, we can. I'd take our team. I'd take our team over anybody. Yeah, I don't know who's going to be in the back, you know, saying... Go do it, you know? I'd let like Jordan Malata in and do it. No, I'd definitely get in. No, you wouldn't. Yes, I would. No, you wouldn't. There's no way.
getting two rings in the span of a month it's crazy in it now it's probably not going to be as fat but no no yeah the significance of it's a lot better was getting was getting married on the fourth of july we got married and i'll tell you this i'm fortunate enough because everybody says just wait to the wedding planning just wait to the wedding and i'm like oh my gosh like i don't want to stress out about it because you know i'm during the season like it's a different type of
stress yeah and she was so she was so good about keeping everything just this is exactly what you need to do as in i need to get my suit i need to be there when the food Which is fun. I love the food tasting. Now, the colors and stuff, I had no idea. She came up for training camp one day, and I guess she was talking to our dietitian and nutritionist, Stephanie. And
i don't i don't know how i got she's like so stephanie she's like do you like the the color of the wedding i'm like yeah it's supposed to be like like this color she's like no it's not i'm like what so she done elsa done told my fiance elsa she done told her that it's a different color now blue like a like a some type of blue so you've done no planning i wouldn't say that
You haven't helped at all. I mean, I like to give my opinion. Now, listen, there's a couple surprises thrown into it. Surprises? It's July 4th weekend, dude. Oh. Don't want to spill the beans. Okay. I like that. I like that. So, no, I can't wait. July 5th, big day? Big day. Dude, speaking of proposing, well, when you talk about proposing, dude, I have never in my life... Been so nervous.
So we got a place in Tennessee, whatever. Yeah, let's talk about the proposal. Like I said, I was so nervous. She knew that it was bound to happen because I told her, I was like, yeah, I promise you before I go into training camp, you will have a ring on your finger. Now, regardless what day I pick, whatever. So this is coming down to the wire, dude. Coming down to the wire.
So I get the ring, whatever. And I'm like, I'm... I don't know. It's like, when do I do it? You know, like keep pushing it back, keep pushing it back. I'm like, okay, let's do, let's do 4th of July. Let's do 4th of July. You know, let's, let's, let's go to this vineyard, like make it all pretty. I'm like, God, I got to hire a photographer. I got to do this. Cause you know, they want the pictures.
Yeah, she had an idea. Cause I think her mom actually was like, we need to go get your nails done. You know, which is fine. Like that's, I'd rather her look,
whatever you know mine are mine are dirty you know yeah but uh speaking of the proposal so I was like fourth of July we're gonna make up a story and her family's gonna be in on it so like her family ended up coming to her her family's house her parents house in Murfreesboro and my family drove up too so like after the proposal we were gonna go there whatever and just surprise her like that well I woke up that morning
And I'm like, oh, my gosh. I'm fixing to play a football game. When I tell you, dude, I didn't say a word to her the whole morning. I'm laying in bed until I have to get up. She's getting up, getting ready, whatever. We're supposed to meet her parents for brunch. And I don't even know if this place is open.
what yeah because it's fourth of july like i don't know i don't i honestly don't know so i'm like this place is not even gonna be open and sure enough it wasn't it didn't open to like 12. oh so you're good then well i didn't say i didn't eat anything like honestly you were nervous dude i was so nervous so you're more nervous for that or the super bowl just close dude i'm telling you i i had to go eat a slice of turkey so i didn't pass out
If there's a gorilla sitting there in front of you, you're not going to be the first one to go hit him.
It's weird, bro. It's weird. She was like, why are you being weird? I'm like, I don't know. So you gave it away. Well, I'll tell you this. I'll just go ahead and tell you the whole thing. Yeah, come on. So I have the ring. So the ring comes in the normal box you see on a normal basis, I guess. Yeah, a ring box. Yeah, a ring box. So I'm not even nervous talking about it.
So it came with another, like a tiny engagement box. but it's freaking, you know, it's an inch tall, whatever. So I put it in my, my truck, like side pocket. And, um, I left it in there overnight. Thank gosh, nobody stole it. That's the most dumbest thing I've done, but thank God I didn't have insurance on it at the time.
So we get to the, to the place where I'm doing it and, uh, I'm wearing the Lulu, you know, khaki shorts or like Navy blue shorts, whatever, like golf shorts. Um, And I'm not going to lie. They're not like tight, but you know how they fit. You know, you can't have anything in your pocket without it having an outline. You know what I'm saying? So what'd you do with the ring?
Well, I'm an idiot, but get out the truck and I'm like, snatch it. I don't know why I didn't take it out. So I put it in my pocket. Dude, when I tell you it is sticking, it's the most obvious thing. So I get on my truck and I stick my hand in my pocket like this. I never walk like that. Just trying to hide it. Like I'm gripping it. She said, what are you doing? I said, nothing.
Let's just go over here. And like the photographer was already there. And that's when she figured out. She started crying and opened the box upside down. So I got down on my knee. I said, I'm fixing to open it. Because you couldn't tell. So I opened it up. It was upside down. Luckily, it didn't fall out. Said a couple words. Dude, I didn't know what to say. Oh, you have to say this?
Will you marry me? Well, sometimes there's a lot more to go into it if you want to be better than I am because I was freaking out. Well, the most important thing is will you marry me? Well, yeah. I said, I love you. Will you marry me? Wow. Boom. Wow, that's awesome. Dude, after I did that, I was tired for two days. It was like a hangover. Like I've had a rager. Bro, it was so bad. Congrats, man.
I know. The thing's been saying like... But you think we could win, though? Yeah. So we're taking... Everybody on the team.
That's awesome. Yeah, thanks, man.
I was at home, man. I was at home, and I guess I knew or kind of knew that I wasn't probably going to get drafted. I wanted to get drafted. But it's just one of those things that sometimes it don't work out in your way. But, like, the opportunity just to be on a team. Like, I'm obviously undrafted. And just, you know, the Eagles gave me an opportunity. And it's how you view it, you know? Yeah.
obviously you got drafted but like I've always wanted to get drafted always wanted to go in a higher you know a higher round everybody every kid that whatever but you know sometimes it don't work out like that which is fine like there's plenty of guys with these kind of stories that you know it's that underdog mentality and You just... It's all about how you look at it.
But... You got to put that ego stuff to the side a little bit in that situation and just... Coming to work. Yeah, coming to work, you know. And, you know, had a lot of great guys in the room at the time. And how it is now, too, like a welcoming type locker room.
That also brings up another thought.
Everybody knows everybody.
That's big time, dude. That's cool. Yeah, that's cool. I know there's a lot of guys, too, that get drafted. And, you know, you see the videos that are blessed to be able to be around all these group of people to celebrate with. But, you know, the serious stuff aside, like, Didn't you get prank called? I did get prank called. I bet you were so mad.
Where is this fight being? And then another circle. Where are we doing this? Is it a closed area? Like are we doing it in like a gym? Dude's going to have to get tired. I think we got him. I feel like it's got to be out in the wild.
They flip the cameras on?
That was tough.
Are they talking about it more? I know Shigeru did. That one was crazy. That one's crazy. That one's...
He ain't got nowhere to run.
He's grinding, though. Did you see him working out with Brady, though?
I did see that. He's a good player.
Yeah, absolutely. I taught – well, speaking of like our new safety, Drew, Andrew. Drew, yeah. I guess one of the first – How would I say this? The first interaction I had was he sat down to do the blood work stuff. Physical, yeah. The physical stuff. And he looks so nervous, bro. Really? Because I don't like needles, man. I don't like needles either. But, no, he's cool. I think he's really smart.
We got him.
He'll be a good ball player. Yeah. He flies around. He flies around. They don't play like he how much he weighs. I know yeah flies and then first round pick first round pitch a high Campbell met him Talk to him too. Very very like extroverted type guy. Yeah. Yeah, which is which is good What like what we have in the locker room like he's gonna he's gonna mesh.
No, I'm not staying. Nobody said I was in the back. You said you were going to sit in the back and watch. I said you would sit in the back and watch.
Well everybody didn't really well Yeah, he's a dog too.
i don't know how he does it i don't know how he does it either like i don't know he's gotta spend so much time so much time like working all the trades and it's all about he's got to trust the guys around him too oh yeah but like dude's a maniac up there yeah like he knows exactly what he's doing he makes everything go along with his along with his team they they find the right people to bring him in yeah no they know what to do with them
Where is this fight being? And then another circle. Where are we doing this? Is it a closed area like we're doing it in like a gym? I feel like it's got to be out in the wild. I think we got them.
You think you would?
I don't even know. I don't even know. Sorry.
I got 40 seconds? Just pick an athlete. I'm trying to figure it out. Or anybody.
Crap, no.
You got Jordan Davis. You got Jalen Carter. I mean, not that they're trying to move past him. You got Josh Sweat at the time. Wait, this is a Super Bowl winning team. This is a Super Bowl winning team, yeah. You got Nolan Smith that can set an edge on a mofo. He don't care. He don't care. But, yeah, we got him. For sure.
Brutal. Thank you for tuning in to this episode of Exciting Mics.
For sure.
Yeah, 100%. Everybody would be valuable. Jake, let me see that golden leg, man. Start kicking. Kick him right in. Kick him. Him and Brayden. Yeah, go ahead.
All right, what's your favorite cheesesteak? Dude, I don't. Talk to me. I think I've had Angelo's, a bite or two of Angelo's. You've never had a full cheesesteak? I don't think so. I think I've had, like I said, a bite or two. But I hear a lot of good things about Angelo. I heard John's roast pork is good, too. John's roast pork is pretty good. I haven't had it. Gino's, you said? Mm-mm.
John's roast pork.
I said John Roseport and Angelo's. There's this place in Northern Liberty. It's called Joe's Steaks. It's pretty good. I've never had it before.
It's Wagyu. So it's like that soft stuff. Yeah, I got you. The bread's not as good as Angelo's. So you like seeded bread or just regular white?
He ain't got nowhere to run. We're going to get him.
Now, since your name is Cooper, do you like different kind of cheeses on there? I like that Cooper Sharp on it. Really? Gotta have the Cooper Sharp. I don't think I've ever had it like that.
You definitely have, though, if you've had a cheesesteak. I thought that was like regular.
Really? Yeah. That's shocking to me. Now, what about the peppers? I don't like the peppers.
You know what's crazy? My first year here, so I was like, there's no way I like a cheesesteak. Dude, I think it honestly took me a whole year until 23 to try a cheesesteak. And now I'm freaking addicted. Dude, I could eat it every day. And now I'm freaking addicted. Dude, I could eat it every day. Addicted. I could eat it every day. I know. We're on a weight loss program.
What is your favorite Philly slang? Philly slang? I don't even know if I can say half of them right.
wow i might be fact-checked on that i don't know did john wish that my name had some that's pretty sick water dude when i tell you i have never in my entire life heard water be pronounced something totally different me neither water is it philly people or is it people from south like is it just like the the region is in general is it philly philly too
And we're talking Philly sports, Eagles football, golf, music, fashion, cars, NBA, WNBA, pretty much anything going on in the sports world or just in the world in general. there's kids out there with dreams. You know, we've all had dreams before, and we just want to kind of be, use this as like an inspiration.
But the first time I heard it, I'm like, what? What did you say? What? but you got me from Alabama and water, Alabama water. So I did a 23 of me. Right. So, um, all right.
It's pretty cool though. The people need to know though. People need to know. So there was like a time probably God, when was I talking about? Was that during the season? no when i was like two weeks ago you told me this again randomly random there's a show on netflix called vikings and there's this viking his name is ragnar lothbrok dude sick
Now you take, I feel like you take the average human being. We're not talking the average human being. I know, but I'm putting this in perspective. You don't have the Jordan Milatas, the Lane Johnsons, the Saquon Barkley of the average human beings. I don't know. Some of the big guys up first.
sick had those tattoos on the side like it's like a viking would look you know and uh i did the 23 and me right shout out to my uh in-laws for the present i don't know if they were just trying to see what i am or what but uh and it came back it said like i was i'm so i'm exaggerated a little bit but i'm probably like 85 viking bro 85 that i'm up there you told me the last time it was like 10
Still Viking.
Not really, though. But who knows?
How do you know? Like, how do you know? It's just not. How do I know? I mean, I sent it off. It's a DNA test. And now the government's got all your DNA. Well, they already had it when I was born.

Oh. Don't you love how, like, compact?
I just love everything about a cheesesteak. Now, presentation. What do you think?
I don't know why I'm smelling it.
Cooper Sharp.
This is the first time.
Right? This is the first time for me.
Oh, my God.
Hey.
Love the bread. Now, I think the Cooper Sharp is freaking phenomenal.
Phenomenal.
Now, if I open my sandwich and I see how it's compact like that, that's already a plus for me.
No, you don't want too much. I love a lot of steak. You think? Okay. I think it's the perfect ratio in my opinion.
But you don't want it falling out. Cheese, love the goo. Like, do that. I love a lot of cheese. I like cheese. Don't be scared to put cheese on there.
I'll go 8.3.
It's set in a little bit, I think. I think I've kind of realized that a little bit now. But it's still pretty crazy to me to think about. Yeah, yeah. Especially in my first year, getting to win a Super Bowl is pretty crazy.
It's getting there. It's getting there. I'm slowly recovering, slowly recovering. So it's getting there.
Yeah, there's no parade, but I think I kind of snuck back into town. I don't know if anybody knew I was back.
Yeah, my brother's got a basketball game on Thursday. Okay. So I'll get to go check that out and see what kind of reception there is for me there.
Yeah, I mean, I think... You know, the way it was a rollout to the right. So and I was catching it coming back the opposite way. So it kind of it kind of I kind of just fell right into the right lane there. And when I when I caught the ball, everybody was going the opposite way. So I got to had some big boys out in front, got me some blocks, had to make some make some mess.
But, yeah, I mean, it seems like it worked almost perfectly with the way I caught the ball and the way everybody else was running. So it worked out pretty well.
So many times. Yeah, I love that. It showed up on my phone so many times. I watch it every time.
Yeah, and then there's... They had all the different country broadcasts, like their reactions to it too, which was cool. Did you have a favorite of those? What's that? Did you have a favorite of those? I think it's like the... It might be like the Mexican one is pretty fun to listen to, even though I have no idea what they're saying besides my name.
But really all of them are pretty cool to listen to.
I did never think about that, to be honest. I didn't see that until after the game. Or I didn't realize until after the game. After that pick, I was probably pretty high on the... on the list to be Super Bowl MVP at that point. But, you know, the game Jalen had, obviously. Right. He deserved that. But I didn't even realize that until after the game. Kind of forgot all about it.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I mean, we got up, we got up 10-0 and then, you know, being able to, you know, anytime you get a defensive touchdown in any game like that, that changes, changes the tide of, of, of any game. So especially in a Super Bowl, being able to go up, you know, 17-0 after a defensive touchdown. I mean, that's, that's, that's huge for, for any team.
I think it, I think it just, it helped us just continue to, to roll through, roll through that game.
I think everybody had confidence that we could put on a good show when we went out there. Everybody had a lot of confidence in us. I don't know if we knew it would be by that large of a margin, but – Just the week of practice that we had, I think I myself was pretty confident in what we would be able to do against them defensively. We didn't even blitz one time.
We had some blitzes drawn up to run, and when you got those guys up front, we never really had to.
Yeah, it was a little different for me, a little different for me. You know, being used to just playing field position and having our defense, you know, just keep their offense pinned back and, you know, flipping the field once we make them punt. So it was a little different for me. Yeah. Especially those first few weeks when we're around our own 50-yard line and –
We're just going for it on fourth and three, fourth and four, whatever it is. And at Iowa, like, that'd be a no-brainer, like punt. Yeah. So, yeah, it was a little different. But I kind of like the switch up. Yeah. The aggressive style.
Yeah, I'm definitely still a little upset about that one. Yeah. Because it changed our season from a 10-win season to an 11-win season, and that puts you in a whole different category, you know, at the University of Iowa at least. So that was tough for us. Yeah.
They said when I was running, because I was trying to point at the ball, because whenever the ball is away from the returner, you don't want other guys to get hit by it, so it's a muff. So I was trying to point at the ball as I was running. My arm was swinging side to side, and they said – They said that counts as an invalid fair catch signal or whatever they said.
But that's not even why they went to review it in the first place, which was the frustrating part. They were reviewing it to see if I stepped out of bounds, and then they came back with that. So it was, I don't know. It was pretty frustrating.
Um, I had, uh, I had, I mean, the Eagles were, were one of the teams who I actually thought I may end up with. Um, I only met, I met with him one time, um, on a top 30 visit there, but, um, I actually thought I might, might end up there. I didn't know. Um, I didn't know it'd be the way it happened.
But I'm glad it happened the way it happened, being able to come in with Q and us being two rookies in the same position. I think it helped us both. It made it easier, made the transition easier on us both.
Yeah, it definitely would have been a lot different playing out in L.A. Obviously, they had a solid season this year, but not being able to win a Super Bowl would have been tough. I'm glad it happened the way it happened. Back then, I was pretty frustrated having to sit and wait that long, but I'm glad it happened the way it happened and
it all worked out and I'm a Super Bowl champion so yeah yeah it's pretty good and you had a great rookie season too who was the hardest guy that you had to cover in the NFL so far um good question thank you hardest guy I had to cover probably Puka Nakua from from the Rams he's he's a tough cover um I think Jerry Judy's he's a quick dude um Adam Thielen.
Adam Thielen worked me the week we played the Panthers. I learned a lot from that game. He's just a savvy veteran guy who gave me some good work. That was probably one of my tougher games going up against him.
Yeah, I wanted to play basketball, actually. Coming into high school, I wanted to play basketball in college. But I'm not quite tall enough, and I'm kind of built more like a football player. And I kind of play basketball like I'm a football player. I play downhill and drive into the hoop and try to dunk on everybody. But I wanted to play basketball, but...
Clearly football was the right decision, and I found that out after my sophomore year.
Started to pick up with football recruiting and stuff like that. But I still play basketball every once in a while, and it seems like every couple months my basketball highlights will just resurface on Twitter, social media somewhere. Yeah. They'll go away for a little bit, and then they'll pop back up.
Me and Riley Moss. My boy Riley Moss. Kind of shocking. I'm outside there.
Yeah, just plug us in there and we're ready to go.
Oh, geez. I mean, there was – I'd probably have to say Nolan Smith. Yep. Yep. Nolan Smith or Q, Quinion Mitchell. One of those two guys, but I think Nolan probably takes the cake there. I mean, he couldn't even walk straight or stand up. Might have seen him throw up one time on the road there. But, yeah, it was probably Nolan.
Yeah, I had this big-ass Bud Light chain around my neck, and I was throwing beer all over everybody in the crowd, and the chain came up and hit me right in my eye, right above my eyebrow. So I got a little battle scar there, but it's all good. It's good for the memories.
Yeah, he took it like a champ, and he used it in his speech at the end of the parade, which was funny. But I think he loved it, actually. Loved having the cut across his forehead from the parade.
I did drop one this year, but I didn't lose it. Don't even remember it. Don't even remember it.
What were you feeling? I was just lucky that he didn't start running full speed before I got to him. Otherwise, it would have probably hurt even more. Luckily, I caught him right when he was turning around and I was able to pick him up and put him to the ground there. But, I mean, that... He wasn't even moving full speed, and that was, I mean, it still hurt me.
I still felt it in my neck and my shoulder. But, yeah, he's a big-ass dude, big-ass dude. But luckily he wasn't going full speed.
It's kind of more of a... More of an in-house.
Yeah, it was tough. I'm a LeBron guy, too. I'm a huge LeBron fan, so it was tough for me. But I didn't expect him to know who I was, to be honest. But now he would. I just had to be there, really, and open for a little love. But it's all good.
Has he reached out and been like, hey, my bad, respect? Not to me directly, but he commented under some post where someone asked me at the Super Bowl, I think, and apologized or said something about it.
I like playing nickel. I like playing inside, being around all the action. Hopefully at some point I can move to one of those every down positions, whether it's outside or whether it's safety, whatever it may be. I hope at some point I can do that. And do both, maybe, because I like playing nickel. I like being involved in the run game and the screen game.
I feel like that's a really important position in a defense, and you can make a huge impact at that position.
Yeah, you're right. It would.
I was not. I was not. That would have been – I would have loved to do that, though. I was – I played a little offense in college, obviously played quarterback in high school. I miss slinging it around, especially, I mean, could you imagine just going out there and throwing it to A.J. and Devontae and those guys, I mean, that we have on offense? It would have been crazy. Yeah.
That would have been sweet, though.
Yeah, yeah. I have to talk to Coach Sirianni about that one.
In the Big Ten? I mean, Nebraska. I wouldn't say it was – I don't know how tough it was. It was just like really loud in there. Yeah. At Nebraska, it gets pretty loud. But once you get up on them, it gets pretty quiet in there. And that was us quite a bit of the time there when we were playing there. So I know Will will appreciate that answer there. Yeah.
But Nebraska, it's a fun place to play, especially in a rivalry game and especially when you're beating them.
Yeah, someone actually had taken a video of him in the stands when that touchdown happened. My dad had been my coach since I was a little kid, so I'd never really seen him get overly excited about a play I made. He was always trying to keep me humble. and things like that. So I saw the video and I'd never seen him get that excited before about a play I made. So that was pretty fun to watch.
And then, you know, getting to celebrate with him and my family down on the field after the game was really cool. Just having them experience that moment with me. You know, my dad and My parents, they both saw how disappointed I was on that first night of the draft, and especially my dad.
He came up to me and told me, he said, you remember how disappointed you were on the first night of the draft, and now look where you are. So that was a pretty cool moment there too.
I know. That kind of took a back seat, I think, after we won the Super Bowl. It was more like you're a Super Bowl champion rather than happy birthday. You're 22 years old now.
No. I don't think I did. I don't think I did. I got quite a few, so there might be some that I missed. But I don't think I did, which was good.
No, he hasn't. Oh, no. He hasn't, but Big Dom is probably the coolest dude you'll ever meet. Yeah. I saw you guys were with him at the Super Bowl, right? Yeah, he's the best.
So, yeah, he's he's he's one of the coolest dudes I've ever met. And he he literally runs runs the city of Philadelphia. Yeah, it's it's great to great to know a guy like that.
I mean, kind of. He brought me into his office, I remember, and was just telling me all kinds of crazy stories that he's heard or been a part of since he's been the head security for the Eagles. Yeah. There's some crazy shit that he's done and he's helped guys out with. So it's good to have a guy like him on your team.
Yeah. Can't wait. Appreciate you guys. Thank you, Cooper. Thank you for your representation. Yes.
Get him on the outside. All right. Thanks, man.
