So, first, let's touch on the fires in France and Spain.

Those fires have finally begun to stabilize.

Control, but not before forcing the evacuation of over 300,000 people, with in France alone a cost that is estimated to be between 10 and 15 billion euros, and that may rise as the damages are fully assessed.

That is just an incredible amount of money.

In Spain, the costs are estimated between 1.7 and $3.3 billion.

So far, obviously the fire season is not over yet.

Of course, the financial side of things is not the absolute most important, right?

But it does give you an idea of the scale of these fires.

There is a chart uh out of France that shows the area burned by wildfires and it shows the cumulative weekly area by thousands of acres.

And it shows that 2026 is at least fifty percent more.
