Hearing about the way the sperm was taken, the great lengths Jake and attorney Amy Clifford took to have it destroyed, and that there was even an attempt to charge Jake for storage, I think it's only natural to hope for some kind of justice. Instead, we find ourselves right back where we started. Jake's continued recovery isn't just about rebuilding his physical body. It's also about facing the truth, coming to terms with what happened, allowing himself to see things clearly, even when the reality is far darker than the version he once clung to. And that kind of reckoning takes a different kind of strength.

It's now 2019, two years after Jake was diagnosed with acute toxic progressive leukoencephalopathy. Jake was determined to regain his mobility, his speech, his life. And luckily, the team at Western Massachusetts Hospital was just as determined to make it happen.
