It's all it was really looked for was a cap on the diesel.
You know, we are in a crisis.
The cost is just going up through the roof.
And, you know, it's all anyone was looking for was a simple cap on it.
Like what was given, like after a full week of them having meetings and everything else like that to come back was another two and a half cents.
I just, I can't even believe it myself.
Like, you know, like Christopher Duffy would have been one of the main people there in it from the start, like up in the speeches and that.
And like, do you know what?
If he had to go into negotiations and come back out with two and a half cents, I think I would have given him a kick in the arse myself.
It's just like, it's just, it's absolutely, I don't know what, I don't even have words for it.
What were you expecting, Cormac?
I don't know what I was really expecting, but I suppose they had kind of put out a figure of around for, say, the green diesel a cap of β¬1 and maybe the white diesel a cap of β¬1.70 or that.
You know, I suppose anything in this world is when you go into a business meeting or anything else like that, you have a starting point for a negotiation or if you're buying a car or you're doing anything else.
So they had a kind of idea what the people was looking for in that.
But you see, I think what they're losing the people is they keep arguing about, you know,
different stuff out in other countries and Europe and about prices and why is this price and why is that price worse but the bottom line is it comes down to layman's terms on the ground of what's feasible and what's not feasible and like it's like MicheΓ‘l Martin like
I think the people is nearly dejected.
If MicheΓ‘l Martin hadn't come out and done a speech in the middle of the week, I think all the people would have been gone home.
That's been straight out with you.
