That's a matter of dereliction of duty, right?
He has a responsibility since he oversees American aviation through his officials, through his appointments, which he heretofore has not done a great job, meaning he summarily fired people.
Then he, on the back of this tragedy, he puts in some acting leadership.
The point being here is I would say to MAGA,
If you're not offended by the racism, shouldn't you be offended by the sheer level of presidential incompetence?
Right.
Does he have a grasp of the facts so much so that he goes past blaming to actually trying to find out what happened and how we can prevent it from happening again?
Don, I'd like to remind the Secretary of Defense of two Black men, two generals, Benjamin O. Davis Sr.,
and Benjamin O. Davis Jr., both of whom were pioneering generals, the first, Benjamin O. Davis Sr., among the first black generals, if not the first black general, and of course, Benjamin O. Davis Jr., a Air Force general.
These are two black men who had to fight for the right to fight for their country.
And so to have a Secretary of Defense be smirched
The professional standing of people of color in the military, people who serve in aviation is unconscionable.
And it's not only unconscionable, it's ignorant.
That is to say, Colin Powell served in that building, OK?
Yours truly, I was born on a military base.
Black, I should say, army doctors saved my life.
My father was an army officer.
My brother was 82nd Airborne.
And they, let me be clear here, they represented a high standard of excellence.
So they had these incompetent, ignorant white men besmirch the standing of our people.
