Otherwise, this storm won't start winding down until sunup Monday in D.C., but linger even later in New York City and most of the day for Boston.
Here in the Northeast, the hazards from this storm are going to be mounting.
Most maps are showing a solid 6 to 12 inch snowfall from D.C.
to New York City and on up to Boston.
And there will definitely be cities and towns, especially west of 95, that will get more, perhaps a foot and a half.
On the other side of 95, closer to the coast, some locations may stop at 6 or so, and then followed by a sleet and ice storm.
And as for the timing, the snow will likely start around midnight Saturday night in the D.C.-Baltimore area, give or take, and it will likely be snowing in New York City and suburbs by the time you get up on Sunday and reach up to Boston towards lunchtime on Sunday.
