It's a radio station that targets a slightly older, broader audience than the Kiss Network, which is the other ARN network.
radio stations.
So, you know, you'll hear song from the 80s and 90s and lots of familiar music.
And the promise of gold over a number of years and one of the engines of its success has been it's a workday radio station.
You put it on in the background, you can listen for long periods of time because there's lots of music in a row and it's a really easy lift for listeners.
This is going to challenge that idea.
And I think one of the risks here is that you're putting a talk intensive product into a format that is famous for music.
And I think the concern would be purely from a programming perspective is regardless of how good the product might be,
I think the audience is there for one thing, which is their favourite music from the 80s and 90s.
And when Carl and Eddie start talking about Pauline Hanson and who's going to play 5-8 in the State of Origin game on the weekend, you're going to hear the sucking sound of audience leaving in their drives.
I think one of the factors here would be that ARN, the corporate brand, has been through a lot over the last eight to 10 months.

willing and up for a relationship with ARN.
And I think there's a lot of corporate cleansing that needs to be done in terms of ARN getting on the front foot and showing a positive way forward.
And I think this partnership is a lot about that, which is we have two people that are recognised within the industry and have had success over a number of years are now joining the ARN team.
I think that from a corporate perspective, that looks really good for them.
I think there's a message around this idea of it being a multi-platform player.
You can hear it on radio.
It's being streamed on Stan and Channel 9 and whatever else.
