And today they were punished by a great free kick from Julian Alvarez.

I think when Antoine Griezmann's standing back and letting somebody else take a free kick, then you know that they've got good quality.

It's not spinning 10, 15 yards away from him.

It's always going to be within a yard or two and Koundé's never getting round.

So I think that was maybe in the referee's mind.

But then I think when he looked at it in the monitor and he saw that, you know, the player was going to regain control of the ball within a reasonable area and Jules Koundé was never going to get around and cover, then I thought it was a red as well, yeah.
