There's a new landscape out there right now with respect to players that could be available and what you may be able to do to entice them to come to your city.
But Connor, Connor to me would be a really nice fit as that type of player, that player specifically would be a really nice fit on a second pair.
He stabilizes things.
He's steady.
He really knows how to...
play with different types of partners, and probably a nice scoring winger in your top six that has a little bit of weight, like we talked about Lafreniere, and that second pair right shot defenseman, you probably say, okay, what would be more important?
They're probably in a tie, but they're never going to, right at this point in time for the Montreal Canadiens, they're not superseding the need in the primary focus for a second line center.
I would put Murphy with Matheson because Matheson is such a great skating defenseman and he loves to jump into the attack.
And Connor to me would just settle things down with respect to you go and do your, see, I think partner play is really important and,
I think Connor would allow Michael Matheson to do more of that.
And Connor will just take care of other parts of the game.
And it frees up Michael to take more of that initiative.
You know, again, if Lane Hudson struggled in the playoffs, sign me up for that struggle.
You know how many defensemen would love – I know we all talk about the Carolina – the Montreal Canadiens struggled as a team against a very good Carolina Hurricanes team.
Lane Hudson has shown unequivocally that he can play with anybody.
What you're trying to do is optimize other players and optimize the overall group.
And when you have players playing on their offside, can Lane do it?
Yes.
Can Caden do it?
