There is a huge difference here.

And I thought he had a great point.
Changed my perception about the way I read stats and numbers forever.
And that was, and I'm going to paraphrase.
that there were times in games, or depending on the actual game, series, or whatever, where he would tinker with certain stuff, pitch with big leads, maybe not give a bleep about certain moments, throw up, and he wouldn't mind giving up a home run for the sake of his change pitches.
He didn't care about ERA.
Yeah.
It was about how do I get from point A to point B to help this team climb.
And when you bring up not winning a Cy Young, well, how many times are we reading off ERA numbers and everything else with Cy Young?
And there's CeCe Sabathia telling you, I never gave a crap about any of that.
In fact, I would tinker with some of that to make it work.
And I'm not going to punish CeCe Sabathia and not retire his number with the Yankees because he wasn't drafted and developed by them, and they went out and they got him.
And by the way, he was top five three times within Cy Young.
