You obviously think about the moment when he's Newcastle manager and the ad lover and it's almost like a meme before memes.

But you'd never want to sort of reduce his impact on football to something like that.

Which, you know, I remember sort of reading at the time when his autobiography came out and reading sort of extracts from that.

And I'm talking about how at times he maybe regretted that because that's what people would do.

But, you know, when you watch him as a footballer, he just looks, he looks electric.

He looks like a little Jack Russell.

He looks like the kind of football that you would hate to defend against, hate to play against.

I know he called himself, I saw him describe himself as a mongrel, but I sort of loved that.

It's just the kind of, and what he does for Liverpool, and in terms of the time under Shankly, but then when the European Cup as well, it's just magic.

That's a really good point as well because I wouldn't have thought of Man City but then you think of a Newcastle and you think how he brings them up the leagues and you think of him obviously in the 90s but there's a time before that where he joins and it's a surprise that he joins and he's able to take them

We both lived in Newcastle and you mentioned the name Kevin Keegan to anyone there.

I remember someone telling me, it might tell me, because we were talking about this years ago, and he said something about how when Keegan joins, Keegan's like, yeah, we're going to be challenged in whatever it would have been.

what's the Premier League yeah we're going to be challenged in the Premier League and everyone's a bit like okay mate and then he gets them there and then they literally are and then you see I think there's a point where they sell is it Andy Cole they sell and there's like mutiny and everyone's fuming about it and then talks to fans

he's outside the stadium going listen trust me and then he signed Ginola and then it's the you know it's the entertainers and it's very much in his you know you said he sort of belongs to football but then you start to think about it and like every single club he's been at he's loved by I always wondered and it's obviously Dagny's comes in when he leaves like do you think that's something almost like not dampens his legacy at Liverpool but like that maybe it should be remembered a little bit more

The new manager's not daft, and I think one of the things that he'll have done, or his team will have done, or the club will have done, is they'll have looked at last season and there'll have been some sort of diagnosis.
