2020 general election, you know, when they had that really soaring popularity, they were on this kind of march.
They thought they were on this kind of march to power and they didn't want to take positions on any of the controversial topics.
They did really kind of try to stay out of the immigration debate for a long time.
And similarly, on other key areas, they tried to stay in the middle of the road.
And of course, the old political cliche, if you stand in the middle of the road long enough, you'll get knocked down.
