It was to really expose Shane to every area โ
of hockey operations in preparation for this ultimate goal.
Now I'm not the one to sit here and evaluate whether he's ready for that.
I wasn't sitting in on all those meetings.
You'd have to talk to the people that were around him and try and get a clearer picture, but he has done a lot.
I mean, he had the role of hockey Canada as well.
I left that out of the mix.
So he's had a diversity of experiences in sort of an executive role that would at least
you know, give him a significant amount of experience, whether that has prepared him, whether he's ready for that.
I, again, I can't judge, but he certainly has taken a lot of steps in that direction.
Well, I mean, there's no NHL team, which really hurts things.
Arizona State picked up a lot of that fan base.
A lot of people are still going to Mullet Arena to watch ASU play, which is great for that program, but a lot of people just miss the National Hockey League.
I think there are efforts to try and bring it back.
Youth hockey is still thriving here, but whether they can bring it back, especially at these prices, remains to be seen.
The same issues exist that have always existed in this market.
