And my mom would come in and cook dinner and he'd be like, where did this come from?
But she was able to make stuff out of nothing.
Did you just ask me to take you on your first hunting trip?
April, I'm taking you turkey hunting.
It's going to change your life.
You don't even have to shoot it.
I want you to experience the interaction between a male...
Gobbler, a mature male gobbler.
And it is one of the most unbelievable things because when you go turkey hunting, it's a lot like elk hunting, except they're obviously a lot smaller animal.
But there's an interaction that takes place that defies nature.
Because what normally happens, and I'm going way into a lot of detail, when they're rutting or when they're in heat, so to speak, it's in the spring.
So when they're wanting to breed, the gobblers will sit up in the tree in the morning and I know y'all have heard turkeys gobble, right?
What they're doing is they're telling all the hens, I'm over here.
And so what we do is we go over and sit up on the ground and we pretend like we're the prettiest girl in the neighborhood.
and try to piss him off so bad that he's willing to leave his harem and come to us.
And so when you do that, you've caused him to do something that he doesn't normally do.
And when he comes in, he does this thing called spitting and drumming.
