Yeah, a ahead of competitors with the one big exception of BYD, but I don't think that that's something to really get, you know, sort of too hung up on.

Uh th this is uh a release where the numbers are great.

I mean it it's uh you know, I think the expectations were low going into this print.

Uh that being said, we did see, you know, four sessions where the stock ran up thirteen percent.

So when you kind of, you know, just pan back maybe over the last week, is this

Move uh quite as dramatic as it looks at first glance, maybe not.

But uh I think you know the big takeaway here is is that uh Tesla's vehicle business is recovering and also that uh maybe the first quarter uh on the energy side uh was maybe a a bit of a blip.

It was uh quite disappointing their energy storage deployments.

And then the second quarter we saw a pickup uh that that was uh fairly substantial.

Yeah, I I think with uh Rivian and also with Lucid, which is out with with numbers uh this morning, I think the bar has been set uh much lower for them uh because they've had some so much of an issue with uh kind of chasing Tesla, right?

I think there were expectations when these companies uh went public uh in Rivian's case by IPO, in Lucid's uh by way of of uh SPAC deal.

Uh there were expectations that these companies would sort of, you know, take on Musk in a much more

meaningful way, but we've really s seen them struggle to to gain traction.

Uh we're seeing this morning more uh sort of moves at the executive level for Lucid.

And with Rivian, I think you know there's a lot of uh hopes and and anticipation of uh the R2, this you know lower cost uh platform that's coming to market.

And if this company can execute better with these lower price vehicles, uh it it unlocks maybe much more of a market.

Yeah, I think it's fascinating to see, yes, a strong debut for SpaceX, a rotation maybe a little bit out of Tesla, which is something that we were really braced for, but not anything disastrous.

I mean, we've seen on an intraday basis the stock fall about 3%, but as of this moment, it's a little less than that, about 2.8%.

This is a company that has been quite volatile over the years in its own right,

And if sort of that track record applies to SpaceX, then we should be sort of in for a bumpy ride here.
