Marcel Ruiz, speaking of the World Cup, had been ruled out of the tournament with a torn ACL, but now Ruiz is working to come back in three weeks for Toluca after his injury was upgraded to a partial torn ACL.
Therefore, Ruiz was able to avoid surgery and the World Cup could still be in his future.
Here's what his coach, Antonio Turco Mohamed, had to say about his possible return.
Obviously, very positive, the fact that it's not a fully torn ACL.
