That's what the level of discourse is like in a lot of cases.
Yes.
And you can end up seeing enemies around every corner with this sort of thing.
I think the most ludicrous example I ever saw was a remake of a video game.
I think it was called Dead Space, some like survival horror game in space.
And there's a restroom in it at one point on this space station that's overrun with horrifying monsters.
And it's some like...
gender neutral bathroom and people lost their minds over that saying this game is woke and it's like you're stomping like mutated creatures into the ground with your boots or like chainsawing them in half how is this you know that's that's where it becomes absurd yeah you know and so yeah it's there needs to be that uh perspective i think and just try not to go crazy with it
It's the tortured artist effect, isn't it?
Yeah.
And yeah, he's a prime example.
Obviously, he paid the price for it long term.
You know, if you've seen him recently, he's not in a good place.
But I think, generally speaking, yeah, like, you kind of expect a certain intensity from your artists, you know, over and above, like, big popcorn movies or whatever.
But the people who are creating more serious films...
they should have that balance of light and dark in them, whether it's trauma, whether it's inspiration or drive, whatever it might be.
It creates a more interesting performer ultimately.
And I've heard it described nowadays as like these actors, they seem like they just come across like from an assembly line.
They've all had the same experiences.
