Not an easy job, not a job that pays well, especially at that time.
Now, CNAs today, a lot different than when I was in my 20s.
Wonderful.
So that just being in that space of seeing how, you know, I'm working with these mostly other women in most cases, not always.
And, you know, they're tasking us with two halls, right?
Like sometimes literally you come on shift and it's like you have all A and B. And, you know, and of course our job is to get them fed, bathed, you know, and then like twice in the course of an eight hour shift.
And then sometimes you may be even working, you know, longer hours.
And so, you know, I learned leadership.
I learned documentation.
You know, I learned how to how to.
care for people even though I already came from a care background just from being at home it's just really just like I said it's in my DNA so I just learned many skills but I think the the biggest thing I learned during that time is how unfair things were like you gave me two halls of
I have anywhere from 15 to 20 people, you know, to care for within my shift.
We are very understaffed.
Our leadership at this time are not always the nicest people.
And it just seemed like a very, in many cases, unfair setting.
And, but...
And obviously I learned some very valuable skills and lessons and I just took the good with the bad.
And I thought one day I'm going to figure out how I can either own or manage one of these.
I'm going to find my place in this world because I know in this world,
home care world or this health care world.
