He said, who are you to tell anybody to hire Bob Dole's law firm? I said, Bob Dole's a war hero. He's a credible person. He said, don't you know who his partner is?
I said, I have no idea who his partner is. Well, his partner was Ian Richards from Texas. What does that have to do with somebody doing national security issues? Because Karl Rove was from Texas and his nemesis in Texas was Bob Dole's partner? He didn't want them to benefit?
