And this ecosystem stays as pristine as it was the time we visited it.

Now, it was a place that was so primitive that they didn't have, for example, plastics.

Again, like, it just, it taught me so much in life, Pat.

I mean, for example, in their village, in the centre of the village, there would be daily meetings.

And the big building that people would sit under was only about a metre and a half high.

And of course, I discovered that that

The reason was that it forced you to stay seated.

So if somebody got a bit aggravated, you know, nobody could stand up and call.

You know, there was reasons for everything.

But plastic, these were just naturally the most environmentally friendly people.

There was no toilet roll.

There was no toothpaste wrappers.

There was no chocolate.

There was no nothing.

When we'd go on a fishing trip with them up the river...

they would plant cassava, and when they would come back 12 months later, they would naturally harvest the products.

It was a lesson in environmental awareness, and it was a lesson in life.

Pat, they had, like, they lived day to day.

They had so little.

And I've been lucky to travel and live in so many countries around the world, but I have never, ever, ever met people as happy as these people, and they had nothing.
