I think in a sense, in effect, what Trump has kind of done is thrown that that question wide open now.
It was kind of bubbling under the surface the last few weeks and months and
I think Sinn Fein particular, if you look at them, given um their lack of electoral success down here
I would argue their failed housing policy.
I would also argue their inability to make their minds up on on migration and immigration.
This is this is their kind of their their their big play.
This is it's always been their big play, but this is what they are trying now to get votes on the basis of
Trump move either.
Well no, it was very awkward for them in the day because I mean I was at Farmley.
When Trump made his comments around the United Ireland, uh my head and a number of other journalists in the headroom spun around and we just caught each other's eyes and thought, Well, this is massive.
Immediately we were on to the Sinn Fein press office and it was kind of radio silence for a few hours because bear in mind they were out protesting, right, in Dublin and other places, and and they they then the statement came in and it was a lengthy paragraph after paragraph after paragraph aga about Gaza and the Palestinians, and then a footnote.
It was effectively a footnote acknowledging Trump's comments.
And then you would have seen yesterday the leaders of the other parties in Wales and Scotland.
It the the the choreography of this made it almost look like Trump prompted this.
That's not the case.
I mean, there's no way that that was not in the the the works for a number of days and weeks.
But look, just back to Micha Martin.
Will he go further on this?
Probably not.
Will he be expected to go further on as this conversation advanced?
