Uh you know, being Canadian and uh you know, I had an opportunity to coach in Toronto and Ottawa, there's just something about coaching in Canada.

There's just so many more people are aware of everything that's going on, the situation, the magnitude of hockey in Canada.

It's just it's a little bit different animal.

After being in LA for, you know, three years, people come by, see you at the golf course.

Where are you these days?

You know, when you're when you're living in Windsor and

You're with the Canadian team.

Everyone knows where you're at and and is is

Well I can tell you this.

I I've I've coached quite a few players now and in every once in a while you get guys that are special and you know, I had some young guys in Ottawa that that were that.

There's some guys in a in LA um but toward the tail end of their career, um when you look at a guy like him, he's right in the middle, um, you know, low to middle part of his career where he's getting ready or he is gonna be in his prime.

And

And I think his ability to make plays uh under pressure and his ability to be calm in big moments is something that um you don't have on every team.

And I and I had an opportunity to watch him run the power play and I just think there's a skill set there that that is l undervalued uh or or maybe he's underappreciated um because of the fact that you have McDavid and Dry Settle and say while he's with those

guys well.

I seen him with not those guys of the world championship and he can run a power play as good as anyone in the National Hockey League.

I thought he defended a lot better than than than the reputation gives him and and I look forward to coaching this guy and I think this guy's gonna have a great year.

Well, absolutely.

You don't know how many guys you're gonna go through.

And you don't know when a guy finds it in and and really gets going either.
