I when they get really old I always tell people that they my dogs always die two or three times they the first big loss is when they get retired from competition and that's usually for me it's a big one because it's such an intense relationship yeah

That when they get retired from that, you just miss it.

And then the next one is when they get too old to go on walks.

So that's kind of the next really, it's a big bummer.

They can't go on walks anymore because they're too old.

And then the third one is usually they actually die.

But that first one is the worst one.

What is left for them in... For mine, I do a lot of... Because I don't really have time to do nose work or tracking or anything like that.

And I also... I don't like doing things unless I can do them well.

So I'm not really interested in farting around with other stuff.

So I usually... We do a lot of heel work, a lot of tricks.

And they seem pretty happy to just be engaged.

I really don't think they care when they get retired.

As long as they have time doing activities with me and being engaged, I don't really think they care.

If I have a retired dog at a competition with me,

i will sometimes take them on a dry run so i'll take them out get them warmed up you know trot them around just like i would have done when they were competing and then take them to the ring side like we're getting ready to go in and do all the things that i would have done before we go in and then skip the run obviously and go straight to all the things we would have done after the run and then take them away and they i think they think it's pretty much the same they didn't actually do the agility they just did all the other stuff

Yeah, they're pretty thrilled with it.
