Um, and now at the smallest heights, Shelties and Papillons and nowadays working Cocker Spaniels are pretty popular as well.

It seems like most dogs hit their stride around three or four.

They've been competing since maybe two and a half so they've been around

to enough different places that they're pretty seasoned travelers.

So I would say four to eight, nine, if you're lucky, they can still do it, but they're not, they're not as competitive speed wise.

And the bigger they are, the harder it is because jumping is just, it's pretty hard on their bodies.

There have been a couple events throughout the years, big national events that I have been to where there'd be an announcement made that you need to be mindful of who's in the crating area.

They would post security guards and you'd have to have a bracelet to make sure that you proved you belonged there because there was word that people were going around opening up kennels, which always seemed

ridiculous to me like how can you say that you're an animal rights activist and like how can you be for the welfare of an animal if you're going to turn them loose to just like get killed in the street or something like come on give me a break

But by and large, that's not really a huge deal, I don't think.

The agility world is a little behind bite sports I think because we kind of all it sort of seems like we're all these different disciplines are kind of on a similar track where you know 20 plus years ago we all got introduced to the miracle of clicker training and thought oh my god we can we can accomplish all this stuff without using harsh punishment let's do it because why wouldn't you

And then you can get pretty far with it.

And then I think the bite sport people came to it, have come to it before agility and obedience probably, but you realize you can get really far without any aversives, but you're not, there's going to come a point where you're going to have to employ their use.

And then at that point, you don't want to go back to the,

trash that you were doing before you discovered clicker training or whatever.
