And I was that way too for a long time, but these days I've shifted quite a bit towards what the bite sport people are doing, which is teach your dog marker cues, sure, but there's no need to be teaching a puppy lots and lots of behaviors when you've got so much motivation, engagement, structured reinforcement stuff to train first, and then you can teach them anything.

Yeah, I think because nowadays people teach lots of verbal discrimination skills on an agility course.
So front side of a jump, back side of a jump, left, right, all this stuff on a verbal.
But there's still so much body language that's involved.
So when you watch the people at the highest level, they're running their butts off.
And using a lot of really subtle physical cues to get the dog around course.
So acceleration, deceleration, lateral motion, slight shifts in shoulder presentation, which arm they're using.
And the Border Collies are so good at anticipating your next move because that's what they do with the livestock.
And they're so...
watchful and sensitive to pressure and also selected to respond to the whistle cues at a distance.
And I think the way they're built, they're just kind of uniquely suited for the sport.
Yeah, there were a lot of people, when I got into it, I started with the Border Collies.
But there were a lot of people really early on who had boxers.
Because the boxers really enjoyed, I think, because they really enjoyed playing.
