That was the first sign.

I think Dakota, you said this, that they were making a signal to intent that, Hey, we're going all in with this team.

Bregman's the second part of that move.

And you really have to give credit to the organization for doing it.

It'll be interesting to see how it works out.

I have some concerns if I'm a hundred percent honest, but I I'm excited to get Bregman here.

He's he is an older player, 32.

That's the sad part.

I guess there's just some question in my head, and this is the stuff that maybe we don't need to discuss right off the top.

This is maybe a discussion for next week or down the line.

But there is some question in my mind about why this move wasn't done last year.

This feels like this type of move was on the table last year.

Maybe you're telling me the Cubs wanted to get a look at Matt Shaw.

That was maybe the reason they didn't offer this deal.

Maybe they didn't want to do deferred money last year.

We don't know.

I don't know for sure.

But it would have liked this deal a little bit better at Bregman age 31 than at Bregman age 32.

That's just my only concern.

It's a great deal.
