An aid group in Sudan says more than 16,000 people have left the city of El Fasher in the western Darfur region since it was captured in late October by a paramilitary group.
They say the refugees are fleeing reported atrocities by the group.

But senators went home with no solution and plan to return Sunday afternoon.
At issue is a Democratic proposal to extend health care tax credits for one year.
