No, my father was four years after my mother.

My mother went first.

We all thought it would be the other way around.

dear mum left first and then dad but the interesting thing was I got to know my father really got to know the man after the passing of my mother because he was always allowed her to shine and her she was very vivacious and full of fun and great sense of humor and he always allowed her to shine and he was quite mild-mannered and held back and

And when she passed, he reinvented himself.

He absolutely... Because he didn't do anything for himself.

She looked after him lock, stock and barrel in every way.

So when she'd gone, he... And I said, OK, we'll get a housekeeper in and we'll, you know... No, no, no, no, I'm going to do it all myself.

And he absolutely reinvented himself.

And I got to know the real man and it was wonderful because I had four years, so I'm going to go now...

I had four years of knowing this wonderful man.

And he had everything that he instilled in me, really, which was resilience and perseverance and determination and all the things that they instilled in me.

It came from them.

And, yeah, so losing them was very, very difficult because they really were my best friends, really.

Well, oh, a moment of joy would be, oh, I think, you know, when I was about nine or ten, my cousin Carolyn was part of the Stanley Jackson North 20 Dance Academy and she was in the formation team and I wanted to emulate her.

And so I took ballroom dancing lessons and Latin lessons and I learned the foxtrot, the waltz, the quick step and all the ballroom things and all the Latin things, the cha-cha-cha, the rumba, the whatever.

And I did them all as a woman.

I took private lessons and I did them all as a woman and passed my ISTD, they were called, exams, with flying colours.

And I was so proud of myself for having done that.

But of course, when I'd done it all, I didn't know what to do with myself because I'd done it.
