People see the helicopter, they're aware we're out there.
When they see the helicopter flying over the Wicklow Mountains, they're pretty sure it's us.
And that will also be ground patrols with the people in jeeps, getting out regular stuff.
They're all marked up with our National Parks and Forest Service logos.
People are familiar with what's happening when they see the helicopter and the jeeps out there.
Yeah, so we work closely now with the fire service and other owners in the uplands like Sequilte.
All our staff are trained and equipped in wildland firefighting.
It's a very physical task.
If we have to go out to put a fire out, it eventually boils down to someone walking across a hill with a
A beater, which is an eight-foot pole with a flat head on it, and you just basically beat the flames out, as the name suggests.
Our helicopter, which we use for monitoring, though, can also drop water on the fire, and that's a real positive for us.
That really helps the people on the ground.
So it just all depends on the size.
I mean, we have 16 staff in the National Park currently.
A small fire, if you get out in time, I mean, eight or 10 could put a good dent in it.
That last fire, though, depends on the conditions.

There was a strong wind.
We couldn't even approach the fire with the heat of it.
