I woke up this morning and I thought, it's international week.
More than anything, I pray we come through the Czechia game because it would be pandemonium leading up to Tuesday, Denmark at the Aviva.
I meet people in the shops and stuff and they're buying tickets for the Tuesday night game and they don't care.
They're like, we hope it's Denmark.
I don't really want to go to North Macedonia, but you can just feel it.
People are mentioning it to me, you know, just general chit-chat around the country, around the shops.
For me, you can just feel it.
It just feels like one of those weeks where the country was going to come to a standstill.
Yeah, I mean, listen, I've spoke to a lot of people that say there is a science to it and there is a methodology that can be used.
I'm not so sure.
First of all, after a 120-minute game, you're not sure who's going to be on the pitch.
So you can't really, you know, plus you don't know who's had a hard shift, who might have had a bang, who's not.
On top of that, all week guys can say, oh, I'm going to take a penalty.
But when that moment comes...
some guys might just think, no, actually, and you can sense it in their voice when they say, no, no, I'll take one, but you can see they're not sure.
If it was me and Kenny steps forward and we all know and love Kenny and Kenny says, I'm taking one, I'd be kind of going, Jesus, he's just the type of fella that would have that personality to step forward and do it.
So it's who wants to do it, who really feels it.
I think you can do work beforehand about explaining to players, don't change your mind because that's the last thing.
You pick your side and you go and if the goalkeeper saves it, the goalkeeper saves it.
There's still an awful lot of luck involved in penalties.
