And y the the the development of uh say uh uh a nineteen oh six Renault up to a a nineteen thirty-eight supercharged auto union was astonishing, you know, and then then uh you know it probably lapped most circuits and a third of the time.
So you know it amazing.
But then as we got a more as it became a more special in the Formula One era it became a much more specialized
thing without so much automotive involvement and without that level of automotive investment going in.
And then it got quite interesting because although the technical regulations were very open, you could more or less do anything you wanted, your limitation was how much money you had to to do to research it, to come up with it.
And then at some time, late nineties I guess, it was the opposite of that.

So much stipulated regulation but almost unlimited resource again.
So it it it has switched.
Um but it it it is sort of gone back in in in in that sense to how it was earlier.
Um but in the earlier year of the pre war era there was um you still had the freedom of regulation.
You had the freedom of regulation and the big spend.
Then post war you had the freedom of regulation but very limited spend.
spend and then you got the combination sort of late nineties where you had very limited regulation but unlimited spend.
Um so we sort of we've cut the spend back a little bit now, um, but we've still continued to keep the very tight regulation.
It would become a fundamentally different sport.
It's you're not racing anymore.
