Here's what I mean.
We have a choice going forward.
I told you a story a little while ago when I was running for office in Maryland, and this guy comes in from this very liberal county.
He's a nice guy.
He's a Democrat, but he definitely would have voted Republican.
He knew a ton about this really liberal county in Maryland.
And he said to me, Dan, you're looking at government all wrong.
You're looking at this welfare state thing as if they don't know that it's all based in basically fraud.
That's not the way to look at it.
Government spending for Democrats, ladies and gentlemen, is a jobs program.
It is a way to, listen to me, it is a way to keep you people out of the free market system that contributes to free markets and capitalism and onto suckling off the government, which is what they want.
They don't want you to work.
They just hate capitalism.
The way to get you out of the market is to stick you in an administrative job in the public school system and basically they think they own you for life, the Democrats.
That's why they love government spending.
Anything they're telling you, like, oh, we love public school spending because we care about kids' grades, they don't give a shit about kids' grades.
If kids' grades go up or down or sideways, they don't care.
As long as the money goes up, never sideways or down, that's all they care about.
Why am I bringing that up?
Elon posted this in a tweet the other day about the California boondoggle we've been talking about, this high-speed rail project that's projected now to cost double and triple in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
