It's not unusual to see this in the regime.
He understands it very, very well.
But again, as I said earlier, he is very, very interested in seeing peace around the world and particularly in Iran.
So it won't shock me that he gives them an opportunity to do the right thing, as he pointed out in his comments.
Yeah, well, I mean, don't forget that back, I think it was 2017, 2018, I forget the exact time frame, maybe 2019, I don't recall exactly which.
It was Iran who attacked some of the Saudi infrastructure, some of their oil producing infrastructure, their refining infrastructure as well.
So there's been a tension there in the region for some time, and I think Saudi
the Saudi Arabian government, the governments of UAE and others, recognize that for many, many years Iran has been a bad actor in the region, has been really a catalyst for much of the tension that we face there today.
So they're as anxious as anyone to see this regime perhaps go away or at least change its direction.
The idea of a nuclear-armed Iran
is of concern for all of the countries in that region.
So it doesn't shock me that Saudi Arabia and other governments will join with the US in putting an end to this regime.
I do.
I do indeed.
I think all of the folks, the conversations that we had back in the first Trump term were very, very constructive.
There is a true desire for peace in the region, a true desire for peace in the region.
And I think that still extends today.
It's still there today and people feel it.
If you talk to folks on the ground, especially the younger folks, when you talk to them, they want this as badly as anyone else in the world.
So yes, I do think it will be a catalyst, if you will, for perhaps some new conversations that are an extension of the Abraham Accords.
