Um and so this was their disclosure that a

Back in those days, we called them UFOs are real.

They've been here, they've been visiting for long periods of time.

They come in all these different shapes and size craft.

Um, and then here are these variety of uh uh uh alien beings, UFO crew.

Uh actually Jacques Valy calls them UFONots.

So that's what I like calling them as well.

So uh and so the purpose of that was was in reaction to the shutdown of Project Blue Book.

in nineteen sixty nine.

Um Project Blue Book had a classified component that was run by the Defense Intelligence Agency.

And Jonkers briefed me on that.

when he became known that uh Colonel John Alexander and I NIDS um had

been working for Bob Bigelow on UFO investigations and uh we were part of a uh a local community uh of retired intelligence and law enforcement intelligence uh officials uh who were either active duty or retired who lived in the Las Vegas area.

We were forming our first AFIO chapter.

And uh so we had to go through the motions to establish a chapter and in order to earn our charter.

And so Wade um uh Gene Poteat was the president of AFIO and Roy was the executive director.

And that's how I came into contact with them.

And uh and so one thing led to another, they found out that uh Alexander and I were investigating UFOs for years at NIDS and um

And so that's when he said, Well, I've got a story to tell you.
