A podium sometimes, whether it's centered or off to the side, it just throws off the aesthetics of, you know, the angles that a photographer or videographer may be shooting.
Right.
And if you're moving it and when someone's reading from a book, it just sometimes looks impersonal or if they're flipping pages.
You know, I love everything you said about eye contact with the bride and groom and with the guest.
And I've seen you do that personally.
So I know how effective you are at that.

When you're doing the vows for a ceremony, let's talk about the speed of the vows.
Because sometimes if we're photographing or shooting video and the officiator will be doing the vows with the couple, sometimes they interject too soon before the couples finish their sentence.
And that's challenging for a videographer if you're trying to slice the audio perspective out for short films or things.
So talk about the speed of vows.
the vows and also when you introduce the couple and maybe you're about to say you may kiss, do you first step out of the way to the side?
Do you stay in the middle?
I appreciate that.
Well, during the full video, it's fine during the full video for the couple because they're getting the entire ceremony.
But if we're doing a highlights reel, that's maybe a five-minute video kind of recap on the whole day.
We're taking just what the bride and groom say during those, removing the officiant's voice out of there.
But we can't if they talk over each other.
It's almost impossible.
That's a great tip, and I get people ask that all the time, so I'm glad we're talking about this.
