I was just life like no one ever put that word or verbiage in my ear.

So I thought that's just kind of normal and part of life.

I was the only child up to when I was 12.

I didn't, you know, I didn't point fingers or anyone or blame anyone.

You know, I, my dad implemented a lot of structure.

Like I was always afraid of my dad.

Like I didn't want to get bad grades and my dad never beat me, but like he could just look at me a certain way.

I'd be like afraid.

And I didn't want to disappoint where my mom, I had a little bit more free will.

Um, more of a street kid.

I can run around, you know, 10 o'clock at night skating down the streets and, you know, no one's calling me asking me to check in.

So I, I got a lot of street smart and a lot of, you know, knowledge from that side.

Then I got a lot of structure and discipline from my dad.

Um, and I don't know, man, it's, uh,

My dad gets a lot of credit for my fighting style and my discipline and my hard work, but I think I get a lot of... My mom should get some credit, too, just for the craziness and the free will and the free spirit.

So I got a little blend there.

Well, you know, there's a reason I call Hawaii home.

You know, it's like the first place I moved that I felt like they adopted me.

You know, they adopted me as part of the culture, as part of the community.

Granted, you know, I got in fights.
