Michael McLeod, Dylan Dubay, Calfoot, Alex Formanton, and Carter Hart had pleaded not guilty.
They had all been charged with one count of sexual assault in connection to a complaint from 2018.
They were acquitted of all charges at the end of July of this year.
In the wake of the ruling, the National Hockey League said the five would not be eligible to compete, pending a review.
In agreeing to the december first return, the NHL called the events deeply troubling and unacceptable, and that the players' conduct did not meet the standard of moral integrity.
But it also took into account that the players had been away from the game for nearly two years.
The National Hockey League Players Association said it now considered the matter closed.

Ken Dryden was a crucial member of the Montreal Canadiens 1970s era, and in the 1972 summit series between Canada and the former Soviet Union, considered a monumental moment in hockey history, Dryden shared the goaltending duties helping Canada defeat the Soviets four games to three.
He helped the Canadiens win the Stanley Cup in 1973, and then for three more consecutive years.
