All that happening to me was almost like existentially happening to somebody else, you know, a very out-of-body experience.

But I was very present when I saw my nana's reaction to me having all of this over my face, whether it was the blood or the stuff they rubbed into me.

That's when I realized, oh, something really bad's happened.

Even then you were wondering, if they're doing this to me, what's happening to this kid is doing to me at home?

Because I know that that's – it's learnt.

It's learnt behaviour.

Like it just is.

No one is inherently born with hate towards anyone.

Like I just – I'm sure of it.

So your mum told you you were born in Adelaide, Australia.

Tell me about your parents and how they met, what you know.

Yeah.

What I do know is very fractured as it is, but I know for a fact that they met when they were very young, which is a thing that I had to keep in mind a lot when I was trying to process my relationship with them is what was I doing when I was 16 and 17 years old?

Oh, my God.

I couldn't hold a job, let alone a conversation.
