Authorities in Dallas say three people died, including a child, and several others were injured when a natural gas explosion destroyed a residential apartment complex in the city's Oak Cliff neighborhood Thursday.

The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into writer E. Jean Carroll.
Carroll is the woman who won an $83 million civil judgment against President Trump after she accused him of sexually assaulting and defaming her.
The Associated Press is reporting the investigation is focusing on the possibility that Carroll may have committed perjury.
Trump has also asked the Supreme Court to overturn one of the judgments.
Attorney's Office in Chicago is denying it opened an investigation.
Since returning to the White House, the Justice Department has opened several investigations against perceived enemies and political opponents of the president.
The Supreme Court ruled that a Mississippi death row inmate had been denied a fair trial 20 years ago.
Justices said the courts failed to explore charges of racial discrimination.
