Uh I I I think that his

I think he still really has a great shot at a triple crown race.

I talked about it a few weeks ago in an article that some of the uh his competition, like Otani, has left the American League, which makes it even more wide open.

Uh but when you're talking about you'd be disappointed if he only finished with fifty home runs, you know you're talking about a pretty crazy hitter.

Uh one of the things about Rise is he can hit anything, basically hit.

He's got this absurd uh contact rate against pitches hit outside the strike zone.

That's that's just dwarfs the major league average.

And there's a problem with that because if

In a sense, if you can hit everything, you're hitting nothing because then one ball is as good as another.

And we know that's not true, even for a hitter like a rise.

There are certain pitches that he is going to be able to hit better than others.

And just because you can hit that pitch that's two feet off the plate somehow, doesn't mean you necessarily should.

And as you look at him in in in recent years, he's become more and more aggressive with the plate.

He's hitting more and more pitches.

But the problem comes that he's hitting more and more pitches poorly.

Uh he he he's never gonna be a you know a a guy who does long triangle and hits 30 home runs a year, but he does need to have those those hits he can hit a lot of line drives off of.

That's been a big part of his his superpower, so to speak.

So he does need to kind of

Tone down it a little bit.
